Pebbles was mah gurl. Bump all that TLC Behind the music jive. She provided the jams.

Actually,no she didn't.The songs on their debut album were written and produced by Babyface,Dallas Austin and Marley Marl, and I don't think Pebbles was too involved with the second album either.I think she feels that she was laregly responsible for their look and image, but that's debatable too.

sigh You read too much into my statement.

Yeah,I probably did.But what would you say is Pebbles' biggest contribution to TLC's success?

Probably getting their name out initially. Was she responsible for hooking up TLC with their LaFace Records deal? LaFace was the T in the '90s, so I take it she was responsible for getting them in that camp.

Side note: Why am I up at 4 AM on the west coast?! I can't get back to sleep. Damn.

Did u know u can hear lisa left eye on Jermaine Jackson's "word to the badd", she wrote his rap part too!

Like Kayrn and Jody, girl could not dance in videos!

Out of those 3 "street diva's, I go with Jody, then Karyn (4 her "ritual of love" album, not "superwoman"), then pebbles, who sounded some what like Paula Abdul!

Did you fams know that the guy who danced in the 'Mercedes Boy' video, Rudy Houston, had a sex change operation and is now a "woman" eek

I was going to mention this awhile back but I could'nt think of his name or find any pictures. Janet Jackson fans would definitely know who he is. Following are some of the videos he has appeared in:

Janet Jackson - What Have You Done For Me Lately (he's her dance partner in the video).

Janet Jackson - Escapade

Janet Jackson - Nasty - he tries to hit on Janet (I believe) at the very beginning of the video.

Pebbles - Mercedes Boy

Sting - We'll Be Together

..and many more

I remember seeing him on Sally Jessy Raphael years ago after his sex change talking about how he used to cry when he would be intimate with women and they would ask him why he was crying etc. He said he always knew he wanted to be a girl and had to stop living a lie. He looked like a totally different person, I could'nt believe he had a sex change, I used to think he was so cute.

so does he really look like a woman now? or can you tell he was a dude at one time? can you post any pics?

When he was on Sally years ago telling his story,he looked like a RuPaul type to me (not manly looking but you know he's still a man). He did'nt look like he was in drag (you know the over-exaggerated eye make-up,wild hair etc,). He had a suttle hairstyle/make-up. He even changed his name but I can't remember it. I don't have any pics but if I come across any online I'll post them. He had to be a very unhappy person to go through with a sex change. I actually felt sorry for him.
Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
Just let me rock you 'til the morning liiiiiiight
It's cold outside
And much too late to driiiiiiiive
You know I need you baby
I'm so lost without your love
