Bjork disses Beyonce

Bjork slams Beyonce for doing countless TV commercials lol

'Icelandic' singer Bjork has lashed out at pop star Beyonce Knowles for selling her soul to the devil and signing dozens of TV commercials.

Bjork said that she is a huge fan of Beyonce's music, but is very disappointed that she has appeared in countless ads, ranging from Pepsi to Tommy Hilgiger's latest perfume 'True Star'.

"I love her voice, but maybe not what she stands for. I'm really p**sed off she's doing all of those commercials. I can't believe she did Pepsi," rate the music quoted Bjork as saying.

"Doing that is like selling your soul to the devil. Maybe it's different in America, and I'm judging too hard," she added.

B-Jork dissing Boufantce? Madonna did Pepsi YEARS AGO. And if that commercial and it's contents isn't selling your soul to the devil, I don't know what is.

Artists dissing other artists is SO last week.

Actually, Dylan paid to be in that commercial. (Maybe Medicare later reimbursed him as part of his ex-religious nut treatment program.)

I didn't think this was a diss at all. She sounds like a big fan of Beyonce', but just annoyed at the commercials. It's no different than orgers who are big fans of Prince but complain about every other little thing he does.

I see where she's coming from though. The pic of Destiny's Child with Ronald McDonald in Rolling Stone was just too much (that, and the fact they sat and plugged Mickey D's so much during the interview). It was like Ronald McDonald had put microchips in their skulls that made them mention McDonald's products whenever they opened their mouths.

I'm just waiting to hear that they've changed their name to McDestiny, and their new album will be titled Super-Size My Love

Joni Mitchell did Gap.

Anyways. Bjork just views the world through a somewhat more artful set of sunglasses than Beyonce. And she takes the pun out of her own words by saying it might be a cultural thing.

This is the perfect example how ONE remark gets butchered by placing it out of context of the entire interview.

And us lot obsessing about it. And for so many people just another reason to diss one of those ladies or both.

Pathetic.

"So I want to just set the record straight once and for all. The rumor claims that clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger came on this show and made racist remarks, and that I then kicked him out. I just want to say that is not true because it just never happened.

Tommy Hilfiger has never appeared on this show. READ MY LIPS, TOMMY HILFIGER HAS NEVER APPEARED ON THIS SHOW. And all of [the] people who claim that they saw it, they heard it -- it never happened. I've never even met Tommy Hilfiger."

Bjork is a living legend, who I'm sure smells very sweet and not at all like fish! lol So stupid. She will be revered a lot higher than Beyonce in the long run as a true artist.

That wasn't my point. My point was that she's just as image-conscious as Beyonce, but she dresses it up with high art and pretension. Now, Beyonce gets paid millions for appealing to the lowest common denominator, but much of the money Bjork's made is a direct result of the Icelandic muse image she's worked so very hard to cultivate.

you know, you sound so jaded. the "image" of bjork is not pre-fabricated plastic like beyonce's....it stems from the real life she lived in iceland. it's REAL, not manufactured, which is what I think Bjork is so against with the Pepsi thing. it seems some people just can't accept someone like Bjork who's so unique in every way. it's not pretentious...she GREW UP going to an actual music school where what you call pretentious and what I call a musical education (I also went to a music school) has highly influenced her music and her art. If you think she's pretentious, you may as well call all of 20th century classical music and its musicians pretentious.
