I dont think hes flaunting anything, or trying to be "black", just by having black girls in his video. I mean his wife is black for christs sake. I think hes just being himself, it just seems a lot more natural unlike some ppl like JT. Hes talented, but tries a little too hard for me. I must agree..Jon B dont seem like he "trying" to hang with the blacks...it does seem natural and not forced like Justin Timberlake.....but see...the thing is this...its like Teena Marie..a lotta people gave her flack for making the music that she made....but Teena Marie has SOUL...Jon B doesnt IMO but he doesnt seem like he trying to fit in with the blacks..it does seem natural for him but he just isnt soul ful.....whereas Lady T IS! | |

It interesting that you make the comparision between him and Tina Marie. I would say they are of the same prototype. They both are white but they live and breath Black music and share an appreciation for soul music.
As for JT, he has proved that he is full of shit and a racist bastard. When the Janet Boobgate scandal went down, he re-grounded his feet in his whiteness with the quickenss by snubbing Janet. Oh my goodness!!!
I remember back when "They don't know" came out in '98 every black chic I knew would jump over counters tripping over guys that favored Jon B.  I remember when I was at a grocery shopping and this Jon B look alike walked in these girls were literally jumping over counters to get a look at this guy. I remember my hoochie cousin saying that she wanted to date a guy that looked like Jon B.
