I Hate Björk! Ooh, ooh, ooh,
I'm a fully Grown up wo-ham-man But I think that I'm a pixie All things considered I dress like a psychiatric pay-ay-tient And why should I sing When I can wail and whisper? If you saw me busking On the street where you live Without my electro-wobble-musica You would call the po-lice And if you don't like me People will say 'You just don't understand' So I spew my pretentious nursery rhymes And people think it's art But I'm one annoying cunt I'm the seamstress of the emperor's new clothes I am over-hyped bu-hull-shit I am a snake in a teapot.

What are you on? Bjork's cool, hard to get into, but she's mad. I can't compare her to anybody because she is completly different, that's what I love about her. Worlds most beloved Orger

When I can wail and whisper? You've clearly never listened to Bachelorette, Joga or anything on Homogenic... hell, even Debut and Post as well... If you saw me busking

justin, i have a love-hate relationship with that woman.
sometimes she annoys the hell out of me with her pretentious shit. and sometimes i really am moved by her music. and seeing her perform live with the orchestra was just brilliant. yes SIR!

Well Justino I have 2 say I fully agree
with u regarding her stuff she did after the 'Homogenic' album... . 'Vespertine' especially is a load of tripe, though I do Njoy parts of it. I think her songwriting skills have gone in a downwards spiral..Her songs r 2 heavy on concept, often 4getting the actual tune.. Her lyrics need 2 b a bit more concise, 'cuz with her singing style the melody just gets lost.. & it all becomes a bit samey I prescribe a fortnight of Disco therapy in Quarantaine 4 the little Pixie... ...Your coochie gonna swell up and fall apart...

Yeah, I don't see any pretense either. I actually find her to be really sincere. her sincerity is one of the things I love the most about her.

fuck all this nonsense because Mike Patton is on this album so there's going to be something that makes me feel good...

As much as i try to like her...i can't. She's the musical equvalent of the fashion designers who make unwearable ugly shit that looks horrible even on supermodels and blame it on a "lack of understanding" of " fashion as art".....coincidentally bjork music often plays at these same designers runway shows

I don't actually hate her all that much. I just think she's over-hyped.
I love the string quartet version of Hyperballad and some other stuff... But on the whole, it's a load of shite!

I quite like Blork´s music, I just can´t get into her singing actually, but I once saw an interview with her and there aren´t many wise people on earth as she is. It was unbelievable. I have a lot of respect for her! "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I love Bjork, but that was a funny analogy. She kind of lost me there for a bit, but I tend to just listen to her older stuff now. I am really loving the live box though. A lot of her songs sound so much better live, IMO. PLUS, she's got some of the coolest videos out there. Now I'm not one to even watch MTV if I can help it, and I personally think videos have basically caused the downfall of good music, but if I have to watch anyone's videos, it will be Bjork's. Have all the Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, love his solo work and his work with John Zorn, Bjork, Lovage, and plan to check out the projects I haven't heard yet. For those that don't know much about Patton/quick to hate: Poor man's Anthony Kiedis my ass-Patton's a genius. No Fantomas or Bungle album is the same-which I can't say for many artists these days that rehash the same tried and true formulas. We still have artists, sure, but Patton and his collaborators really achieve new territory. People will love or hate it-but there's no way anybody could claim it's easily digestible. It's challenging but if you listen with an open mind you hear things you never thought were possible. You'll be hooked. You owe it to yourselves to check it out, folks. Diabolik edit. I like Bjork but I admit she's an acquired taste. But anyone who can upset the western world by wearing a swan dress (they're still talking about that dress, meanwhile Bjork has moved on to other bizarre dresswear) has my vote. She also has some of the more stirring songs from the past decade (Bachelorette). So hate all you want. She may go beyond pretentious at times but she is the true definition of artist.
