'fess up! Worst record you ever bought (and still own)?

i personally have impeccable taste and have never bought a bad record ever in my life... oh bollocks! alright then, MC Miker G & DJ Sven - 'Holiday Rap'. This was a massive hit in the UK back in the 80's, it was basically some dodgy looking white blokes from Denmark, Sweden or Holland 'rapping' over the top of Madonna's Holiday, it is complete shite and truely horrible. How and why Maddy sanctioned this audible horror is beyond me.

I'll give my runner up spot to Latoya's 'You're gonna get rocked' with Full Force. The shame! lol

I've bought a lot crappy records in my day but the worst one that I haven't gotten rid of might be The Last Dragon soundtrack. I'm only keeping it for Vanity's "7th Heaven."

Damn!! You bought that shit too? I remember starting a thread about this Cd when it first came out, I think I even had some positive things to say about it after the first listen. confused I hope my thread wasn't any influence on your purchase, if this is the case just send me the receipt and I'll reimburse you. lol

I have to add "Spankmaster" & "Matthew" by Kool Kieth to this list. disbelief

Thanks sinister, but I bought it because I figured if the band had Ish from Digable Planets in it the album couldn't possibly be bad.

(in best charlie murphy voice) Wrong. Wroonng!

Backstreet Boys-their hits collection boxed that's one cd that's stays hidden. For some reason I don't like throwing things out regardless of how bad they are. Maybe I should trade it in somewhere...if they'll take it. I doubt it though.

Anxiety

i was pressured by an EX EX EX boyfriend (can i emphasize the EX-ness any more? let me know) to get a britney spears album because he was certain i'd appreciate the kitsch value and find it catchy.

i still have it cuz i figured someday 20 years from now i'd give it a spin and find it funny in a campy, "so bad it's good" kinda way. i've listened to it exactly .05 times.

Zoogz Rift - Amputees in Limbo.

What can I say? I was young and didn't know any better. At the time, owning a record by this dreary Captain Beefheart wanna-be seemed amazingly cool.

This was the great plus of working in recordstores; you could listen instore and loan them for three days to give them an extensive spin before actualyl buying.

If you think working there made me buy more, you're wrong; it made me buy less, as you hear so much music, only the REAL music appeals to you, the Bowies, Bjorks, NiN's, Kate Bushes and W&L's.

I have 3 Brady Bunch Kids CDs (not vinyl, CD mind you) and 6, count 'em 6, Partridge Family CDs. I was born too late, I swear.

Edited to fix my punctuation errors. Apparently I was born too late but left English class too early.

I take back the Backstreet Boys. It's definitely Hulk Hogan's cd called "Hulk Rules" But his cd is more like a novelty....people didn't take him seriously as an artist, so I don't know if that counts.
