Prince's first professional recording on guitar 4 sale

http://cgi.liveauctions.e...tegory=618

That's unbelievable. Not even sure if it's true:

The important 'Cookhouse Five Tape' - Prince's first professional recording on guitar, 1975. Sold with copyright
"Pepe Willie's band - 94 East - will always be remembered as the band that gave the young Prince Roger Nelson his first studio experience - let's face it, a good enough reason to be remembered. What's often overlooked is the skill and talent of Willie's ensemble and the influence it had on the developing 'Minneapolis Sound' - not to mention the influence it had on the developing Prince."*
The original 2 inch. master (and safety copy) of Prince on guitar as a 17 year old with Pepe Willie and the band 94 East, recorded at the Cookhouse Studios, Minneapolis in 1975.
The Cookhouse Five recordings comprise five songs Games (released in 1986 on the album Minneapolis Genius, 94 East, the Historic 1977 Recordings) , I'll Always Love You, Better Than You Think and If You See Me a.k.a. Do Yourself A Favor (recorded by Jesse Johnson on the Shockadelica album on A&M Records).
Prince's future greatness is apparent in the competence of his playing of both lead and rhythm guitar at such a young age, his riffs on tracks such as Games show an ability which defied his youth, and highlight the reasons why he became one of the world's foremost musical talents, recently confirmed by his induction to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Also at one stage, before the third track you can hear Prince say Wait a second, obviously not quite ready to start.
These unique and historic tapes are sold with copyright, by catalogue only - the buyer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the lots from their current location in the US. Estimate on request.

Pepe Willie met Prince in 1975 through his fiancee Shauntel, Prince's first cousin, and immediately recognized his phenomenal talent. He and Prince began working together musically, quickly becoming mentor and student and above all friends.
Once signed to Warner Brothers Prince auditioned his first band members ,The Revolution, in Pepe's home and Pepe produced his first professional concert with The Revolution at the Capri Theatre, North Minneapolis in January 1979.

In the notes for 94 east, It says, " As it was, our engineer, Tommy Tucker Jr (thank you Tommy)
handled it with extreme care, cleaning the tape heads repeatedly as the tape was shredding."

Now would you want to buy shredded tapes, or is the story in the CD notes a lie?
