If this was 19 years ago, I would have said yes definately!!

With both myself and my partner being Prince fans, it would have definately have been a uniting bond between us(it would have been like "marrying only in the Lord", so 2 speak, by marrying someone of the same Faith as U as God commanded!!! lol lol lol lol lol lol lol )

But, as this is now, and my husband is not a Prince fan, then there is definately a devision between us and sometimes it feels as though we are worlds apart!!!! sad sad sad sad sad sad sad

My boyfriend is a Prince FAN and that's really cool, especially as our taste in music is also a lot alike when it comes to other artists we like. It's a lot of fun to go to concerts together and enjoy the same albums nod. However I would never ever date a Prince FAM shake

If it's any of you on the org then the answer is NO! LOL!!!!!

But, it sho would make life easier to marry someone who at least likes and/or appreciates Prince, such that I don't have to keep defending the man...

Well, my husband who's a retired Marine (meaning he's a big, strong, tough guy, you know the type) couldn't stand Prince when we first met. He thought he was a short gay freak, with the morals of a sewer rat (his words not mine). Normally a statement like that would have gotten a guy I was dating kicked to the curb so fast he'd have had road burns on his ass. But what can I say, my husband is fine as hell, and I just couldn't do it.

So I decided to convert him instead. A definate challenge indeed, but I was up for it. It took a while, and a lot of hard work but by the time we were married and I walked down the aisle to a looped version of "Venus De Milo" he had completely changed his attitude towards the P man. He's even excited about going to see his first live Prince concert with me this summer.

Now would I have married him if he had already been a fam before we met. I really don't know. But I do know that part of the fun in our courtship for me was introducing him to my world and helping him learn to appreciate it.

It would b cool to be involved with a P fan but in the 20 yrs or so that I've been listening to the man I have never had the pleasure. In fact I have only ever had one friend who liked him! And that was 10 yrs ago sad So any cute guys out there from London wanna hook up - let me know!

Oh man, that would be soooo nice, to have a significant other who REALLY understands... I used to date a FAN. He was a hater but I showed him what's so great about Prince and he reluctantly agreed. He's still a fan. But now I'm pretty much engaged to a hater... I think I'm slowly converting him, but he still doesn't understand what's so great and he gets annoyed if I play it too much! Argh! hrmph

I think anyone who would make admiration of Prince or any celeb a factor in choosing who they date is obsessed and probably not ready for a real relationship.

It would be nice to date or marry someone who also likes Prince, but it wouldn't be necessary smile

Well it would certainly be a nice start to just find a female Prince fan for starters..... I always feel like the only 1 in Toronto until I go to his concert and they all come out of the woodwork. Although it also has been fun converting X s to his music

Had many relationships and been married once, so dating or marrying a Prince Fam should most definitely be my next move. wink Two of my dearest friends are heavily into Prince and we have the best times together. This concept is becoming more and more appealing as I think about it, hmmmmm.

Any eligible guys out there?

My partner doesn't like the guy too much. Appreciates...yes. He did go to his first P-concert this year and P had him dancing and getting down (I had a secret smile). But that's about it. I wish he did like P more simply so we could enjoy P together or I can play P out in the house and not feel like my partner was hating me at the moment.

I just got a hold of a 4 x 3 poster and got looks eek , mad , & disbelief as I mentioned that it was going up on the wall (Next to Robert Smith and Souxsie).

That all said, I am glad he's not a Fam, but wish he was a fan.

i ain't ever been involved in a relationship with a prince fam before (and we're talking bout 15 years of different crazy relationships) -- until these last couple of weeks.

lemme tell ya -- it's awfully strange to go home with a person in order to watch some of those moving pictures, and she actually wants to watch ol' boy.

you wanna see...

the sign o' the times movie?

"yeah!"

under the cherry moon?

"sounds good"

'85 syracuse show? "yeah!"

whoa.

what's even more strange? going to the place where she spins records, and suddenly she says, "i gotta surprise for you..." and what was it? she spun the 12" of Mountains, only to be followed by 17 Days.

question: is this 4 real?

last question: should i play her my environmental records?

There have been gorgeous looking women at Prince's concerts in the 80s and 90s, so I am sure some of them are still fans and are still looking good nod
