The 2/15/04 show is FANTASTIC!!

I recently got both the Valentine's Day show and the next night's show at the Filmore this last February...fucking HOT.

I can't get past Sign O' The Times on Disc I....too bad RAD departed, cause girl got it goin' ON when she's pounding those keys. Plus she always looked so damn hot. wink

I'm so happy that technology has progressed to the point where this type of high-quality audience recording is possible...and concerts can be recorded to DVD now....God bless progress.

Has anyone else heard these shows? If so, what are your thoughts? Was anyone on here there?

I think the idea of watching Prince on Valentine's Day is just perfectly sexxy.

Oh, and to you-know-who: THANKS, MAN!!!

It cracks me up when he gets to the part where he sings, "Are you the main wife or the pharoah?"

Some girl screams "PHAROOOOOAH!!!! WHOO!!!!"

Rock 'n roll. wink

OH SHIT!!!!

The distorted, "sped-up" sounding vocals on the beginning of U Got The Look are THREE funky!!! Wonder why he stopped doing that?

"Here we are folks, the dream you all dream of..."

GODDAMN I swear this is by FAR the best rendition of "Life O' The Party" I've ever heard....this is such a great song live...I like Candy's voice, and I LOOOOVE watching her give it her all. Such a cutie.

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy!!!!

That's the first time I've ever heard Prince say "queer," I believe...I like it. wink

In my week of craziness and concerts last month, during Kiss he replaced Dynasty with "Trading Places" once and "Sex in the City" once....most excitingly (it's a word now) he sang straight-up "You don't have to watch Dynasty" in Columbus. Little things get me hard.

I was there on the 15th & yes while sign o the times was all that the rest of the show didn't move me all that much primarily because it was hit heavy. The setlist on the 14th was more varied & funky from what i heard & the fact that it was my 4th show in 4 weeks (i attended both vegas & LA HOB'S GIGS prior). It was also the 3rd time i heard basically the same setlist outside of The Days Of Wild (can we retire this song along w/ the ride pleazz?). Maybe I'm jaded/spoiled but the 1st night in Vegas was the best from the setlist he played, the crowd energy coupled w/ his boundless energy that night made it special as others will attest.

The highlights from the 15th - The intro to Beautiful Ones, Pass The Peas (surprisingly probably because it was sped up), I'm Going to Take You Higher.

I agree with you that Pass the Peas is a highlight...which is really interesting considering the version on the Aladdin DVD makes me cringe for some reason.

I'll listen to the Valentine's Day show this weekend...I've popped it in before, but it takes me quite a while to really digest a live Prince recording, you know?

I was There. I Need it Bad. But he said Are You THE MAIN WIFE OF THE PHAROAH or JUST A CONCUBINE? I LOVE when he asks that . In China they Had Concubines. I saw FARWELL MY CONCUBINE a long time ago. I Don't Know if he means Mistress or HARLOT. It has a Strange Conutation. But it's a Turn on like ya Know how the Rappers go Ho and all? It's Erotic and Sexy....

Yes the Fillmore set is great, did anyone catch when the band goes into Mama Feelgood & Rad says "how was I supposed to know", sounds like she missed her cue.

Huh. I thought he said OR the pharaoh, but it makes much more sense for him to say "main wife of the pharaoh" - either way I love the girl who screams "PHAROOOOOAH!"

We almost didn't get Pass the Peas that night. I think he only pulled it out because his guitar didn't work for Sign of the Times and he had to stall until they figured out the problem.

Great shows!!!! smile
