Your Fave Tracks from Crystal Ball

I'm just wondering what everyone's favorite tracks are from the Crystal Ball/Truth cds?
One of my friends adores the cds, another LOATHES it all together lol

I personally can't live without Cloreen Bacon Skin! biggrin

What are your favorite tracks? And for that matter, which ones do you hate?

"The Truth" is IMO the best song on the whole set. For some reason, I never really got into Cyrstal Ball -- probably because it sounds like a bootleg or a mix-tape. I don't know. LOL. I dig concept albums instead (i.e. The Truth -- acoustic).

That looks like a very old bootleg tracklist, some of the titles are wrong too.

/// On topic:

My fav official CB tracks:

- Title track
- Goodlove
- Calhoun Square
- Goodbye
- Dream Factory
- Interactive (Criminal that this was never a single in 1993/94)

I'd say Movie Star, but that intro with Jam Of The Year is annoying.

Faves:

Crucial (even if edited in a bad way... why not the full version?!?!)
Crystal Ball
Sexual Suicide
Last Heart
She Gave Her Angels
18 And Over
Goodbye

Anyway I think CB as released was a so-so record; too many remixes for a vault release and
near 30 minutes blank on every CD (what a waste of space... even more when you know that there exists "Wonderful Ass", "Grand Progression" and "Witness" just to name few (I could go on and on... but all you know it!).

The rest are all right.

My question is which of the set were actual boots that were traded? That seemed to be the "purpose" of this set. Much of the "boots" appear to have been in direct cuirculation right before it actually came out.

Another question is which of these had no one heard about before?

OOOHHH! you mean the FAKE Crystal Ball. I thought you were talking about the REAL Crystal Ball that was supposed to be released in 1987!

I can't listen to it anymore. They're nothing but good songs with bad mixes or boring versions. WHERE ARE WENDY & LISA ON THE TITLE TRACK?!?!?! OR DREAM FACTORY FOR THAT MATTER?!?!?!??

Speaking of criminal edits, I nominate Crystal Ball's version of "Crucial" as the worst offender...

Da Bang and Cloreen Bacon Skin.

As far as I know these were the only tracks no-one in the community had previously heard or had any knowledge of.

For those of you who can't get enough of this project I suggest you get hold of Thunderball's "Dream Factory" 2CD set.

It doesn't have the best-sounding (or even complete) versions from the Dream Factory sessions with Wendy and Lisa and the rest of The Revolution, but it's a good place to start exploring that particular era.

At least Thunderball's version is more complete than Sabotage's single CD edition.
