Because of the dubious nature of sales/distribution (billboard including albums given at concerts) then it's probably likely.

It will probably struggle to reach 500.000 in sales.
2 million is an illusion...'specially in the current sales climate.

Actually if you include all the concerts the album is going to surpass 400,000 and with this weeks tally alone in retail combined it has already surpassed 500,000. I think all Prince needs now is another good TV performance ie tonight's quintuple broadcast and you are going to see more sales of this album. I think if he releases another hot single or rather two hot singles back to back you can see this album going 2 million easy. But he already has 500,000 units.
Peace

2, hell maybe even 3 or 4 strictly DEPENDING on the amount of promotion and commitment to the project. If done correctly it could stay on the charts for awhile and then get a second push around Grammy time of next year; but it all depends on the level of commitment.

2 Million is not going to happen unless...

2 top five songs. (That's not going to happen)

and/or

Continuous stream of TV appearances.

and/or

Scandal and Controversy.

and/or

People suddenly wake up and realize Chingy sucks, Usher is weak, and Bad Boy records has been garbage for years.

I have a feeling it just might. My reasoning being:

1) Soundscan are counting the CDs from the concerts (as paid for in tix price)
2) Huge amount of promotion and buzz

Back to point 1 - by the end of the tour it looks likely Prince will have played around 100 gigs in arena's with average attendance/capacity of say 15,000. Well that makes 1.5 million for a start!
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

If U count the seats remaing on the tour, about 400,000 I read somewhere....bear minimum, i'll reach gold. I think it'll hit about 1.5m, good chance for 2.
