I hated it....until now. Its growing on me. Particularly the second half without the singing. Great changes to the drums.

I don't think this song is ahead of it's time (check out bjork, or most deep house music), but it's cool 2 c prince branch out into this style of music. I have been wishing 4 years that remixes of his songs would be similar 2 the Human Body, but instead they are horrid (Come On - Hypermix, for example. The damn song woulda been great had it been released 10 years prior). Prince should take a hint from the likes of Madonna and have professionals such as Thunderpuss and Victor Calderone remix his stuff. Believe me, they can remix ANYTHING!

Personally I'd like to see a commercial mix, a bit like what Nevins did with TGRES.

How about a Fatboy slim mix of Vavoom?!

No. neutral I think Prince should not do a Madonna move. She's been cpoying his moves for years prior to moving to "hip" remixing DJ's. Prince I think should remain unique. He's on a different vibe now, a return to form. That is so 90's, with the DJ "artists".

NO song of Prince's should be remixed, unless he does another version himself. Sort of like how the version of Dorothy Parker he did on the Tonight Show was different from the released version.

I once heard this being played in a club where they normally play lots of Deephouse. The people were getting wild on this song, without anyone realizing it was a Prince song.

except for me of course smile

"The Human Body" should have been released as a single. There is NO WAY the clubs would have ignored that song! With a sexy,well-choreographed video, that song could have been HUGE! It has a pulsing, irresistible beat.Prince needs a huge club hit,to get the world dancing again, and "The Human Body" could have been a step in that direction.

Prince has done like Madonna in the past and used pro remixers like William Orbit (batdance) and The Neptunes (Greatest Romance Ever sold) and Shep Pettibone (Hot Thing).

No way would any informed "house" freak give props to Human Body...The beat is way to lazy.. Sleep Around is a much more succesful attempt at the modern dance vibe.

I never understood why Prince hasnt fully embrassed House Music. I recall he once commented on how dead and un-human the style was..Well, I dont know what he has been listening to.. Cause the crap that Kelis, Dajae, Cajmere (Green Velvet), New School Fussion and Nude Dimensions is far funkier than anything Prince has done in years. Not a diss...just a fact. They and many more House artist have found new and exciting ways to inject some freshness into the funk. Now, im not talking House Remixes (ala crappy Whitney, Mariah or Madonna Remixes)..this music is organic and pure.....Check out the sunday lounge joint in your neighborhood, where the gay brothers throw their hands in the air like its church..... Where all the cool boys and girls go to groove. You'll here the music..sometimes you'll here a white label remix of prince music...brings a tear to my eye to hear the new funk soul style and his vocals....

Buy any Nude Dimenssion Nude Record Vol. for an excellent example of what im talking about..Maybe one day he will stop acting like a grandpa (that aint music, thats crap) attitude and give it a try. Id be one happy boy!!!
