Prince really having great fun ….

Prince really having great fun :

March 8 1982 First Avenue MNPLS : All The Critics Love U In New York (Dance To The Beat, Moonraker)
October 27 1985 Nice, France : America (official video)
March 8 1986 Warfield Theatre, San Fransisco : A Love Bizarre (with Sheila E, “the Oaktree” version)

These are the three best performances Prince ever did …. and these are the three performances Prince is really having great fun. See (“America” and “A Love Bizarre”) and listen to those performances:
you can’t say I’m wrong on this one!

How I wish Prince had a great time more often.

Can someone make some additions to these three performances?????

Well, eye can really only speak 2 the per4mances eye've seen myself, but there are 2 that really stand out in my mind as Prince really having a great time doing them, although eye should say that eye've never seen a show where it looked like he wasn't having a blast. Anyway, here they are.

1) The aftershow @ The World, NYC on the One Nite Alone Tour, April 9th, 2002. He had so many peeple onstage with him that night. George Clinton, Larry, Maceo, ?uestlove, Alicia Keys, Doug E.... u could tell he was having a blast.

2) The taping 4 the Musicology promo @ Webster Hall, NYC, April 20th, 2004. He was all smiles, joking with us, energetic, funny, and just as cool as can be.
wildsign The Mothership Connection... Funk, Soul, R&B, & Jazz every Monday night @ 8:00 p.m. Listen @ www.wqaq.com wildsign (We are off the air 4 the Summer. Returning in early September 2004)

I'm not familiar with the NYC aftershow ... maybe I'll go search for it .... thanx for the advice.
But .... no way a 2002 show can compete with those brilliant performances from 1980 'till 1986.

The Fillmore (San Francisco) -- 3am, April 2001, I believe -- Prince had a lot of fun, especially because Sheila E. showed up. Rosie Gaines also came to sang [sic], along with a bass duel between Larry and Prince, and a playful drum competition between Blackwell, Sheila, and Prince. Oh, and Gigi's ad-libs during "Alphabet Street" which the crowd sang-along with -- which Prince enjoyed enough to stop the band and record us all.

The sound check in Oakland, less than 24 hours earlier, was also a lot of fun. Prince messed up on singing "Paisley Park" as we walked in ("see what y'all made me do"), played a Hendrix-improv'd version of "Purple Rain" ("that was just for y'all"), let one of the fans play his cloud guitar, chatted with us, made a joke about a woman from the venue who told us what to do ("i don't know what kinda rap she was doing" then wipes the mic she used), and calls all of us his cousins after saying an older female fan was his aunt. Also, Rosie shows up and shakes our hands.
