Would this have been a better song if it started immediately with the drum beat rather than the accapella chick singing in the begining? I think it would have IMO.

If anyone has an editing system on their CPU that wants to post a snippet of the outtro from A Million Days blending into the Life Of The Party drums, i think you will find a much better experience.

That bitch really ruined the song. She CANNOT sing. Maybe Prince banged her and promised here a solo for the pooh-nanny?

C'mon, for a tune that is titled life o the party, there's not much going on to gife life to anything.

This is one of the weaker songs on the album, and the opening line...

I always skip over it on the cd. But it sounds good live because you cant hear Candy...hee hee

listened to it yesterday when i got the album, still hated it...

now day 2 of the album, still skip it...

I Love Candy's singing and she's a Great Sax player. Rhonda is Fabulous also. I think the song is Great. If Prince was Gay or even Bald I would Love him all the Same. That's been my Dream Lover since I was a Teenager. I Don't Care bout Trifles or Past Anything and to tell ya Straight Up well I will always feel Goose Bumpy and I wish I could be with him Forever as I Love him so.

2. There is no reference to MJ in the song, so get over it.

I like the CD, but besides Musicology, Life 'O' The Party, What Do U Want Me 2 Do Girl? and Reflection... these songs all sound like other songs he's done before. Like it or not, LOTP is one of the few, newer sounding tracks on the disk.

"Life of the Party" is the worst track on "Musicology". Dull beyond words.

DAMN Y'all really get into it huh? Editing & shit I could see if I was making a comp & there was something I just detested, but just to fuck around w/ for 4 seconds of singing off the top? I guess it's worth it to some - I like it okay, it's much better in concert (w/ that Hot Pants behind it) but definitely listenable... if that's a word
