Prince - Live at Paisley Park [December 31 1987]

Anyone know about this concert? Its mostly Sign O The Times, but it seems to be filmed pretty well (ie not bootleg) and is a pretty good performance, more live sounding than the official SOTT film. 'If I Was Your Girlfriend' is particularly good.

More info is good info smile

I just watched this performance last night. Fantastic show. It was professionally filmed so I was wondering was there any intention to release this show officially?

Well, I know that it was filmed at Paisley on New Year's Eve, 1987. And I know Miles Davis was in the house and played on a few tracks...I don't know if he's on the video or not, but he's on the audio boot.

God, I love this fucking concert! My favorite Orger gave me a VHS copy. I was just watching it yesterday. The 1/2-hour long jam on "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" is absolutely euphoric. Prince was at the absolute top of his game and he knew it "People, tell me I ain't got the funkiest band in show business! You can't fuck with us!"

Can you beat Miles Davis up on stage with the SOTT band, Miles improv-ing on his trumpet and Prince scatting the notes back to him? drooling No, you can't.
