He might climb a few spots, but it isn't like "Musicology" is going to go Diamond or even multi-platiunum. The biggest push will be from sales of "Purple Rain" at it's new price of $7.99 and "Prince - the Very Best of".

Plus I think a few of the artists underneath him are about ready to release albums and they might actually push ahead of him.

So the top acts in the U.S. that are headed by black men are...

Michael Jackson (his career has basically dried up)
Prince (is currently on fire)
2 Pac (is currently dead)
R. Kelly (is on fire, but could be about to go to prison)
Luther Vandross (suffered a stroke - currently debilitated)
Hootie and the Blowfish (defunct)
Jay Z (claims he has recorded his last album)

Looks like P will be #1 in a few years.

I don't think Prince is going to sell 23 more million more albums then MJ in the next few years. Also, being dead isn't hurting 2 Pac as I'm guessing he has sold more since he died then before.
