i have know heard four tracks from the new album and i think it is fairly clear that this album will not be one of prince's best. the tracks out so far are not bad but not very good either. i feel that musically it will be a step back from the rainbow children album but obviously the new album will be far more accessible and fun to listen to.

... i am looking forward to the new cd but i think that fans should be aware that this album will not be groundbreaking. it looks likely that it will put prince back into the top ten again which is great and then hopefully he can progress musically from there.

Well I'm looking forward to it, anyway. I love the 'Musicology' track and I personally think that it's the first song in years that truly captures the classic Prince sound. It's subtle, minimalist and eventually, it gets under your skin.

The new album may not be Prince's finest moment (but then again, it might be - the best Prince albums take a while to grow on you), but ultimately, it's a new album by my favourite artist, so I'm pretty sure it'll be living in my CD player for a good few months. And twelve tracks at $0.77 each will probably work out to be the cheapest Prince album that I've ever bought.

I agree with heystack, im also looking forward to this album, PRINCE is my favourite artist and i would like 2 make my own mind up if the album is good or not, ok its ur opinion, but u said u have only listened 2 4 tracks, that means u have 7 more to listen 2( i think not sure, correct me if wrong) the other 7(or so) could be amazing.

I just think wait till the album comes up, untill u start sayying if it is good or not!!

Boab, thanks for the warning - I was thinking this was gonna be the next Sign O The Times but thanks to you I adjusted my expectations accordingly....phew!

Once you sat through that video and can still listen to his music, you know how good the music really is.
