Yeah, what's up with Motley Crew getting so many of Prince's ex-flames? When Prince and Mani breack up, do you think she will get with Mick Mars or Vince Neil?

I think Motley are the sexual bottom feeders of rockn' roll... they swim along the bottom feasting on whatever makes it down there... If you look at their romantic careers you won't see a lot of discrimination or anything...

I don't mean to say this is a bad thing- just an observation.

And both Tommy and Vince are looking pretty rough these days- they shouldn't pull shit for p*ssy and yet they do!!

Think about this:

If the interviewer asked Prince is he wanted to meet Kid Rock -- what would Prince say?

Kid Rock didn't say anything really negative, he just commented that it wouldn't be fun to hang out with Prince. He's probably right!

He didn't say anything bad about the music or the legend of Prince. He probably just heard some kooky shit about how Prince acts behind-closed-doors.

clapping As if he said something about their family members or something, right? Hell, Kid is twenty-something and still in party mode. That's where his mind is. He'd probably hang out with 20-something Prince, but not 40-something, married, JW Prince. Its 2004, catch up, people.

Good points. For better or worse, Prince has a reputation of not being quite the congenial sort.

Ask Charlie Murphy.

I don't like Kid Rock's stuff, but he's entitled to his opinion.

No, we don't take anything Kid Rock has to say seriously. He is a no talent hack and I will add
trailer park piece of white trash.

I do not give one shit about what he thinks about Prince and I will take a guess that Prince does'nt either. Trust me Mr. Rock will not be around in 25 years to get into the hall of fame.

I don't think it's such a slur - I don't think it would be much fun to hang out with Prince, he's not the sort of bloke you can have a beer with and make stupid funnies. He's more likely to start preaching about god and telling you to get control of your masters. "But I ain't got no masters Prince, I'm a graphic artist!" "Yeah, but you don't understand, god, you know, wants you to own your masters, not the other way around, you dig?"

It is a slam against anyone that is ignorant and trust me black trailer trash exist. So do not take as anything racial. It has nothing to do with being poor or even living in a trailer. It is just a ignorant mindset.

I have seen interviews that Kid Rock has done. He comes off this way to me.

Yeah, I wasn't talking about folks raggin' on Prince. I was talking about the slur "white trash." It only seems right that if we ask people to refrain from using a certain "n-word," we should watch what we say on the flip side of things. Especially one so duplicitous as "white trash," where the distinction carries a subtler commentary.

But, hey, I'm the guy who winces whenever the phrase "near miss" is used instead of "close call."

Because, technically, a "near miss" is a collision. It's like saying "a 360-degree change," when people mean to say "180-degree change."

From an interview with Kid Rock in today's St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Q. You're going to be a presenter at the Rock and Roll Hall of fame next week. Is there anyone you're excited to meet? Like Prince?

A.Nah. I'm not really excited to meet Prince (laughs). I really couldn't care less. I appreciate his music, and I think he's very talented. But for some reason I don't think it'd be very much fun to hang out with the guy.

I thought it was funny (and true), but I'm sure some fams here will be offended and say things like, "Fuck Kid Rock he's a no talent hack". big grin

EVERYONE that hates Prince or for some reason needs to pretend to be his manager..

STILL must say and ALWAYS says he is Talented. cool

But.. really do you think Prince cares what this Hillbilly Wigger thinks? lol

Kid Rock bombed with his last project and NOW all he does is make remakes of old 70's country/rock tunes..

lol

Vanity was engaged to be married to Nicky Sixx of Mottley Crue. This would have made her married name, Vanity Sixx!
