I always had my eye on Mutiny! Fonky!

But I don't dance too much to prince-records anymore when I think about it. I rarely hear him played in the clubs and over there is where I want to hear him sometimes. So it has to be in my room with my stereo when no one is watching me! wink

Actually I'm more of a listener these days. Still is fonky enough to bob my head!

peace, newdawn

I'm going to be a bit controversial and say that Batman batman is the most danceable album

Song? Hmmm, either Gett Off, Controversy, The Work or Uptown

Song-Kiss

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Graffiti Bridge yet. Although the songs aren't always first rate there's some funky grooves on there. The Black album, too.

Not sure about 1999. I've always found it to be a bit cold and electronic and difficult to make fluid movements to. Or do you all dance like robots? hmmm

As for choosing a song... Erotic City is a good one. Gett Off, Sexy M.F., Kiss... a few, I guess.

Not too Controversial...which has one of the best: Let's Work...heLO that bass line is too tough, and you can see how 777-9311 came from (or vice versa) that.

Batman: Vicki Waiting (should be called aka Hot Sex); Lemon Crush (oh LAWD); Partyman (too fun); Batman; what else am I forgetting. Nevermind: I agree. But Controversy sticks w/me due to Let's Work; Private Joy; Jack U Off; Controversy; Sexuality; and the best fo-real dayncin: Do Me Baby. Um, Umh, Umh!

Love Uptown & Party Up (got ta Party Up baby...ooh, that may be more timely than we know...follow the lyric)

I'm so glad this wasn't around from 80-90 cuz I never would have graduated high school or college!

I'm always a pain in the a$$ asking for Prince. I gauge the club then determine which song will work! How sad is that...even more sad that folks don't play it. But everything in cycles...cuz when Gett Off came out you couldn't get it off the turntable...not that I minded!

But yeah, lots of his music gets passed over. When SOTT came out, I was SHOCKED to be in my home base of So. Central listening to gangsters ROCK "If I Was Your Girlfriend". Bass was kickin and shakin yo house

I'm still waiting for the day when Prince will put out a Dance Club quality album.

I think he'll always be trapped within his own style of old school engineered sound
"Vavoom" is a cool sound.. wish he'd work with FBS for a week or two... Put some timeless monstors together like Genius of Love, Kalifornia, King of my Castle, Play, Love Island, Smack my Bitch Up, Drunkenmunkey,...

I really like some of the things that were done with parts of the final few NPG Audio shows....
