Nope nothing like Lovesexy. It takes alot of $$$$ (insert record company here) to do a tour like that.

I still dream of my Lovesexy concert in 1988.
It was the best concert EVER .
Thinking about it makes my hair tingle.

Bless your heart .

I guess if you are under 28 you would not be familar with the when "cool Prince" (1980-1990) era was in effect.

You should have been there in the summer of 83 when MJ & Prince waged a battle over the pop charts with Billie Jean & Little Red Corvette. MJ won the battle but lost the war.

Fast forward to July 1984 when something called When Doves Cry was blazing over radios (what's that?) across the country. One month later Prince was King with the #1 single on 2 charts, the #1 album ,& the #1 movie.
Sitting in that movie theater and total Bedlam erupting.

Spring 1987 rushing home from school to buy the SOTT album and not listening to it for 3 weeks because I thought it was stupid.

Those were the days.

well, rumour has it that p will be with a major label for this tour. if it is a greatest hits tour, as has been assumed, it woul dmake the most sense to have a large scale presentation. the name, musicology, suggests a history lesson in music. if prince is going to stroll down memory lane for a history in his career, he may as well go all out. haven't we all seen enough of the stripped down shows? i would love to see a lovesexy style show. honestly, i have no interest in paying to see another hits tour...unless he presents it in an extravagant style.

If it is in the round, then I hope he uses a stage more like that used by Peter Gabriel recently, rather than the Lovesexy effort.

The great thing about being in the round is that more people are closer to the stage. That said, it was a little disappointing to be close to the stage on the Lovesexy tour and to have to listen to him singing and playing "Blues in C (If I Had A Harem)", but be unable to see him because of the stage construction, which kind of defeats the object really.

(I had a better view of Michael Jackson's feet on a video screen from 100 yards distance when he played at Wembley stadium a week earlier. Admittedly the sound was shit though).
