Controversy.

Let's go crazy.

Reckon they set the trend for their respective album pretty spot on.

This is the song that you put on full blast when the CD starts and it just kicks your ass all the way through. Best track one for me?

The real question here is if there is actually a bad opening to a Prince album. The closest I can think of is "Can't Stop this Feeling I Got". It's not a terrible song, but far from his best, and one of the weaker tracks on Grafitti Bridge. Also not crazy for "Rave un2 the Joy Fantastic", although that song wouldn't work any other way than as the opening of an album.

To be honest, I was VERY surprised/impresed with The Rainbow Children. After years of pitiful spewings, this was a fresh, LIVE, cool song.

But as far as OH HOLY SHIT THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD, it will always be Sign O The Times. That song is just long enough to roll one, sit back and let the rest of the music wash over you.

By, "roll one", of course, I meant, um, a burrito. DUUH!

Oh crap. I totally forgot about Lets Go Crazay. Yes yes. Perfect opener to a perfect album.
