When did he do Billy Jack Bitch on VH-1?
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

But the best move, to me, is that weird ballet-looking move, where he jumps straight up and scissors his legs twice before landing. I tried that as a teen, when I first saw him do it (the "Kiss" video?), but was sad to find I could scissor only once before landing. lol

Durn that little cricket!!! mad

I now what you mean, he does it in the Partyman video too i think.

dancing jig
4 me the best rudeboy, gangster, pimp of the year, fred 'Ass-Stare', crazy legs, B-boy, DMSR, seriously funky dance move Prince has ever done is between:

1. 'The Kick steps' at the end of the 'When Doves Cry' video:
Such fucking timing and precision and balance. Think about it, Prince did his kick step after turning 360'degrees and still did his move better then BrownMark pimp2

2. 'The Hop skip n' jump' at the middle of the Alphabet St. video:
Now Im an o.k dancer but this is not as easy as it looks-trust me-b4 U can think U have 2 jump back and do it all over again-this is a demonstration that 'crazy legs' Prince is a master of co-ordination woot! dancing jig

3. The Detroit Crawl as in It's gonna be a beautiful night on the SOTT video:
This is like a Russian dancer who's taken an E and vodka cocktail and Prince pulls it off. When I was 14 I tried doing this move at a slumber party when I was smashed on rum and cola-I ended up spraining my wrist and being off scholl 4 2 weeks

Probably my favourite move of Prince if I had 2 pick one would be the kick step though-I don't think he could do that shit again if he tried dancing jig

I'd have to review when doves cry to refresh my memory. But his coolest, not meaning fanciest or hardest was the move he did in the little red corvette video. He took a little of what looked like a break move and turned it into his own funky little thing with spins, getting down on the floor and even throwing an Elvis imitation in there for good measure. so we got some history lesson dance move up to the cutting edge at that time. A little james brown, little mick jagger, little presley and a little breaking. To me this was him in his prime of coolness.

The ballet move is a cool one illustrating a parallel eclecticism between his music and dance. I also love the Cab Calloway/40's steps he does in SOTT. I think it's so cool to look back at Duke Ellington shorts and see moves he's stolen from female dancer that really have 0 context where he puts them, they just add that much more quirkiness to his coolness.
