"The War" inside joke on fanatics backlooping songs?

I was just listening to "The War" again and I noticed that
toward the end, well right after the "Money got sold" part
there's a very wavy vocal drifting in that sounds as if it
is played backward.

So, having a few programs on my pc that I barely know how
to work, I decided to isolate that 6 second blib and try
to play it in reverse.

Now, the funny thing that happens is when you play that
in reverse, it sounds EXACTLY the same as it does when
you just play the regular version.

Well, someone blurting out a 6 second wavy scream that
goes up and down and it being tracking exactly the same
vocal ladder and tonations is about as likely as me
being able to get into David Duchovney's pants.

So I figured since it sounds so "reversable" in the song's
original format, it's surely the kind of things that some
fanatics would immediately try to reverse and look for a
hidden message [:I bow my head in shame here:]

Only to then find that the blib is not reversable and plays
the same way either forward or backward.

I just thought that was quite funny. Goes to show you how
much I've got going on in my life right now

I've noticed that during a few different times within the song. I've never tried to decode it though.

Yeah, I think there's at least two back masked samples in the song, one of which is the one you've isolated.

I'll try to find the other section - I'd be grateful if you could waste your life on that few seconds too: smile

Weird...I was just playing PacLand 2 on the PlayStation, smoking a bowl and listening to The War for the first time in ages...that shit KICKS. At the time, it felt weird and cold...but it's DENSE.

For you, gladly smile

I've heard the other one too but I figured I'd only try
one last night since it was very late already.

Perhaps I'll dig up the other one later today.

There seems to be a deep voice at around 19.25 during the guitar solo (and there's also what might be a sample at approximately 3.05 - I can't decipher what is said, for sure).

I'm presuming from your description that the backmask you have already investigated is around the 22.20 mark?

many thanks for anything you can come up with.
