commercially it would have been better, but for us fams, the 3 discs is better.

I actually MAY like that more than my own.

Mine looks a bit schmaltzy in the middle.

It's the one thing that's always said about Prince - if he made his albums shorter they'd be masterpieces! Emancipation, Sign o the Times...give me three discs over one anyday

I made this disc as much for my wife as for myself. It is a little soft and schmaltzy but for times when I want to listen to Prince and placate my wife it's very handy!

This is easy to listen to, but nothing spectacular. That's Emancipation in a nutshell.

I think you may have failed to see the purpose of this thread.

It's like a "what if" kinda thing. I think we all like triple and double albums. But the "what if" here is that "hypothetically, would E. have been a career highlight had it only been a single disc release" thus concentrating the material from the 3 discs into one (whatever our opinion of those songs making the cut should be).

I think your goodself may want to join me in downing a few of those chill pills you prescribe.
