The Breakfast Club and Prince

Yay!

I am currently watching the Breakfast club on BBC 1, and all of a sudden during their detention lunch seen, one of the girl characters pulls out the 1999 viny, with that awesome pic of Prince and the Revolution on the back, and she waces it at the camera 2 show it off - it's still on the desk.

Hot damn that's made my day biggrin

The Goonies (1985). A group of west coast kids facing their last days together before a development paves over their homes stumble onto evidence of pirate's treasure, which attracts the attention of a family of criminals. Corey Feldman is one of the kids in the movie. You always see him wearing a Purple Rain t-shirt.

I really don't like Breakfast Club, it's superficial.

Emilio doesn't even like the weird Prince fan girl til she conforms to the typical image of a girl at the end.

John Hughes was the king of the eighties! i think he had a thing for the mpls sound, there are loads of jesse johnson posters in the record store in 'pretty in pink', he also features on that o.s.t as well. My all fave is 'Ferris' though

There was a time when you had to buy the Risky Business soundtrack to get DMSR on CD as it wasn't on the original digital pressings of 1999.

When they perfected the 80 minute CD (versus 74 minutes), maybe the late 1980's or early 1990's. So peeps have to be aware when buying a used version.
