a new track...that people can rock to, even the Hall of Shame judges. All the while not knowing that the lyrics were ridiculing them. That would make my decade. Everyone wins.

A big anthemic song would work best. Gold is what springs to mind. "Everybody wants to sell what's already been sold". Kinda appropriate donchathank, how many of today's curent crop of recording artists are doing anything original. I am sick of covers of covers and most people that hear think they are the original! How many of today's recording artists could be inducted in 20 years time?
All That Glitters Ain't Gold! In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking...I hope he shows Blue He better! Blue

All That Glitters Ain't Gold! This is a good point, I doubt I could name a single new artist out this year that could even hope to be around in 20 years. Save maybe Norah Jones All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

BinaryJustin said: Prince and the current NPG play Power Fantastic with a jazzy segue into Here On Earth. The closing chords of Here On Earth turn into Sometimes It Snows In April as Wendy amd Lisa appear from behind a curtain.
Once the audience is stunned into silence, he launches into America as the whole Revolution join him onstage with the addition of Maceo, Rosie and a rap by Eve... Gwen Stefani will be on the edge of the stage shaking a tambourine. The somg lasts for 45 minutes. Sheila is rattling her percussion-set until every seated member of the room is jamming on the floor. sounds fantastic ! we can dream no harm in that is there ?

He should do P. Control.
I put my money on "Nothing Compares 2 U". "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

Some kind of medley, with Purple Rain included. Also he's gonna put something new on that medley.

He'll stride on with a harp and perform a 15 minute long version of Solo with an extended coda section which mere mortals will refer to as 'complete silence' but what Prince calls 'space'.
Following this he'd stay with the harp for a stripped down Animal Kingdom with Tony M freestyling over the backwards solo. [This message was edited Sat Nov 22 14:04:18 PST 2003 by Number23]

After this he'd stay with the harp for Animal Kingdon with Tony M guesting with his Push rap. [This message was edited Sat Nov 22 12:15:15 PST 2003 by Number23] that would be a total nightmare for everyone.

I don't know an I don't care. I'm happy that he'll be able to even live to see this experience. I remember when there were talks of a Clash reunion shortly before their induction. But then what happened? We had to lose Joe. And before that, we had to lose Joey Ramone, before The Ramones were inducted. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I´m pretty sure he´s going to perform a "greatest hits"-medley including Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret, Kiss, When Doves Cry, Little Red Corvette, Nothing Compares 2 U and other songs. Maybe he´s going to include something from TRC as well. See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...
