I really hated this album at the time. His Emancipation sounded like r'n b lite shite to me. Too many synths too many lame beats blah blah bland. The booklet stinks and the artwork is cheesy. I'm not baiting this WAS my opinion.

It grew on me though. It's not an album that I reach for often but I like about half of it now. I hope you paid about $5 for it because it lives in the bargain bins locally.

You'll have fun compiling a killer single 12 track album from the triple. I did.

What Emancipation? Not really. A lot of 1/2 baked cookies on it. I think it could easily have been edited down 2 a single album.

So if U could edit it down 2 an album of say 10 tracks, what would U have on it?

When I first bought it (and I did leave it till last) I wasn't impressed. I thought it could easily be edited down to a single album.

A few plays later (admittedly, a few months later) I changed my mind and decided it should be a double.

Eventualy, I realised the funky little fucker had been right all along - it is a triple album. It just took me a few listens and because it was so long it was a long time before I gave it the right amount of listens.

I used to poo-poo Chaos & Disorder when I first got it too, but HEY that's another thread!
