Damn... I was really hoping this wasn't true, but I guess it makes sense.

And still he's making a commercial album again with a professional video shoot for a song that has nothing to do with JW- well, I guess I can live with that...

But suppose he really DOES retire the hits after this forthcoming tour?

I'm scaring myself.

i could do without another hits tour. i've seen the man about 20 times and i've never heard MOST of his stuff live. he keeps playin' the same ol' medlies, hits and b sides. even after emancipation came out, he only performed about 5 songs off of a 3 disc set! the rest was the same old selection of tired ass hits.

retiring them, huh? good riddance!

over worked edit

they didn't say it was true, they're just reporting what the star tribune said, it was in the "gossip" part of the show

I should hope so, it would really scare me if they did this big, huge segment on it. i mean, really, how is this "news"?

I'm just thinking out loud. I wouldn't mind either if he retired the hits. I guess my point is if this story truly is true, then this JW thing has really gotten under his skin and we may never have the old Prince back again... sad

I'm sure his future music will still probably be good, at the least.

I've heard the story all over the place now, different TV programmes, Radio shows, the web etc. This is the first time for ages that Prince has been in the news, shame for not thr right reasons (i.e. kick ass new album)

yeah Si-Man was talkin' bout the JW story on 102.5 FM (Atlanta) this morning. They were trippin' on the door knockin' deal.

This seems awfully timely what with the tour about to start.

Could lil' man be doing a little clever promotion, getting his name heard again?

Yea but what a way to do it...being known as a too pushy door knocker instead of shy, ecletic sex emperor?
neutral People do change though...

sorry, i should have been more clear. what i meantwas i expected the report, itself, to not be so boring and dull. i expected some good humour and joking along with just a quick mention of his tour. all it ended up being was a report on how prince went to a jewish home and spoke about jehovah. lame-o!
