The most in depth book would probably be DMSR, but that, as you know, doesn't go beyond 1987. Possessed is pretty detailed but will only piss you off. Turn It Up 2.0 is great if you wanna learn all the discography. And come to think of it, Days of Wild is pretty in-depth too. Ah, screw it, get 'em all if you can.

I have not seen Days of Wild anywhere. Any suggestions of where to find it?

The first 3 are essential for collectors.

The Possessed book was a little bit of a let down for me and was very hard to keep my attention.

'Turn It Up 2.0' could have benefitted with a more judicious choice of photographs from the UPTOWN quality control department. I very much preferred the superior selection of photographs in chronological order as they originally appeared in the first edition of 'Turn It Up', which is now out of stock.

Apart from that minor quibble, I would say 'D.M.S.R.', 'Turn It Up 2.0' & 'Days Of Wild' are pretty damn essential.

Terrific news! woot!

If there is to be an update I will press them on the issue of more interesting choice of photos, to complement all their valuable info.

UPTOWN deserve all the support they can get from us! wink

Uptown totally rules. Most of what people quote online as fact came to them from UPTOWN's books or the magazine itself.

What about Uptown the magazine, itself? How essential is it? :I: was thinking about subscribing/getting back issues, but :I: was hoping 4 some feedback first.
