One Night Alone Live - 188,002

Just as Emancipation was counted as three disks I wonder if the same is true of ONAL?

In my mind that would make a far more realistic sounding figure of 62,667
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

Wow, I would have thought Batman sold more. The figure heard before was 10 million copies.

i think these are the sales of the U.S!

And i think the sales of Batman could not be true!

In 1989 i red, that the album has sold more copies than the

4 albums tohether (Atwiad,Parade,sott,lovesexy) before!

I red this in different articles! And the album was 3 or 4

weeks number one on the billboard charts!

Do u know something about that?

These are worlwide sales. And the figures for Batman are about right. The album spent only one week at no.1 on Billboard.

___
wrong.. cloudbuster... batman spend six weeks at number one on the billboard album chart in the summer of 1989, it also hit number one in the uk, the only prince album to be number one in both the us and uk.

Prince's audience has shrunk down to the level of his early days. He gained his freedom from Warner Bros but basically he has to start over & rebuild an audience.

thanks for all those positive posts... the numbers are as close to accurate as you can get... i have researcehed these numbers for numerous weeks.. i want to reply by one of the comments that were inaccurate... 700,000 copies of emancipation sold correct but the three albums it receieved double platnium status and batman never can near 10 million as a previous post... before one writes something get the facts...

BATMAN SPENT 4 WEEKS AND 3 DAYS @ NUMBER 1 !!

IF YOU QUESTION OR THROW OUT RANDOM NUMBERS TO ME... BACK IT UP WITH FACTS THANKS

I'm not surprised that his 'Batman' CD did so well.In the summer of 1989,anything connected to the film was guaranteed to be a smash. It also helped that the album was heavily promoted, with stunning big-budget videos for the first two singles ("Batdance" and "Partyman").

Not questioning your research but have looked up some sources of my own (who knows how accurate they are). The one that jumps out is Lovesexy. According to Days Of Wild book Lovesexy sold 750,000 in USA and 1.4 million in Europe.
