Broken Promises That should be the title of the new Prince album, excerpts and edits from all the projects Prince has promised us over the years.

I think it would be fucking brilliant if he took the bits and pieces of all his various aborted projects over the years, and made an odds-and-sods compilation.

Didnt the 7cd set come out? I have TONS of loops from it I got from a fan... He had to get it from there, cause they didnt come off of that metropolis or nothing.. In fact, I made a cool song out of the loops. | |

No, it was never released...though I've also got the loops you're talking about. Hopefully someone with the accurate details can post after me, but those I believe are from some loops that Sonny T and maybe Mr. Hayes (?) used to use and distribute?? Can anyone help me out? No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Broken promises? Don't think he ever promised to release these projects.
We should all know by now, that Prince gets excited about what he's working on currently and likes to shoot his mouth off about it - Ever since the L40A website gave him a more direct channel of communication to the fans he has spouted about stuff he has been tinkering with, or thinking about doing. And we should all know by now not to count on anything being released until we have it in our hands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think what people mean by "Broken Promises" is the absolutely dim-witted way that PRN Enterprises chooses to market something new. They get bull-headed with the attitude in which they announce something. |

Sorry you are frustrated, lib. Maybe we don't know the full story. Sometimes it might be wise not to expect. For my part, I reckon Prince himself, if he does make promises, tries to keep them. I know in my own history I have sometimes failed to do what I said I would. A question of learning perhaps? Wise not to make too many promises, n'est pas?
