I have just been on the org and then i went into the NPGMC forum. I noticed a huge difference.

On the org almost everything i read about N.E.W.S and other recent stuff like the club was really negative. People just hating and trippin bout anything and everything.

While on the NPGMC forum everything was sweetness and light. only a couple of negative comments about N.E.W.S and other stuff.

Do you think that the NPGMC forum is all buttkissing and the only reason they are posting nice stuff all the time is cuz its princes place and they think he might read it and invite them round for baclava and a bigle with cream cheese? OR do you think that the org is more unbiased and just offering the reality of prince fans opinions??

I dunno i am just highlighting the dramatic difference i found between the two sites.

What do you think??

The org can sometimes seem negative, but the best thing, is, its honest.

The NPGMC actually warns people about negativity. I stopped going there because it tends to be full of ass kissers or people who think the site is spiritual, rather than the money making machine that it is.

Ever since the old Le Grind Site got gobbled up, I've used the org for my news ever since. Its more honest and informative.

the other day i posted a thread that stated that i missed going to the record shop to buy Prince albums and i said that i hoped Prince would one day be kind to his fans and release an album on time and in the shops.
i wonder if it's still up?
i think that on the Org you have the freedom to say what you like but sometimes if you cross the line you always have ppl that will debate with you and hopefully it can end peacefully. i have started a couple of arguments over NEWS recently and it always ended on a peaceful note. everyone accepts your opinions and it's great.

Definitely at the NPGMC some people do tend to go a little far with agreeing with what Prince is doing. But here at the org, some people tend to go too far with being negative. I mean really, some people here at the Org do nothing but complain. Almost like they're trying to convince everyone that they are not impressed with Prince or something. It amazes me how some people complain, but yet they still go to the NPGMC site and still buy the music.

But now, sometimes when i read the posts it's seems like a set up, made only to include certain attitudes and beliefs. Even tho, i like Prince's new site. The thing that brings negativity to the NPGMC site for me is this unbalanced approach. If people aren't free to express their true feelings there, it seems like a forum for indoctrination to a certain belief.

I think you're exagerating.
the org is not ALL negitive and the NPGMC is not ALL positive. Try somewhere in the middle...

Over on NPGMC, people are a bit more "sunshine and lollipops" in their posts. Not entirely sure why, but it certainly stifles valid criticism. I guess they are afraid of offending Prince since it is his site after all etc.

If i need a good laugh, i'm sure to find it on the Org anyday. IMO the Org is a more balanced forum...some posts of positivity, some of negativity and lots in the middle of the road.

I think Ian is right in that people are either afraid, or simply don't wish to badmouth Prince, on his official site.

Of course blind idoltry never got us anywhere, but I think some folks seem apprehensive that if they express their opinions (i.e. that they didn't like NEWS for example) that they won't be privy to any future releases or information.

There is a sort of secret society vibe around the Prince fan community - different tiers of fan, with different amounts of information allowed to trickle down the different levels - I think it's a product of that.

I can't even read NPGMC, you can just tell people pick their words VERY carefully...like someone they love might be reading it. My favorite part is when people talk LIKE Prince because you know they don't talk like that any other time.

man.. this place has some REAL issues & the people at NPGMC actually LIKE P & some people here at The Org rn't even in2 P.

this is just a "Message Board" 4 them. i'm a POSITVE thinking individual (or try 2 b) & sometimes i have 2 step back becuz people b SERIOUSLY trippin'!!!

i love it here at The Org & somethings people r say r funny & entertaining. 2 me: The NPGMC is The TRUE Funk & people r keepin' it Real & at The Org... but sometimes ift feels like a WWE storyline or like a Marilyn Manson effect where u have a SHOCK 2 see or read situation & then u'r like is this LIVE or Memorex?

there r a few people i know here who i've spoke 2 on a 1on1 situation & i know where their comin from & then u have some serious Hattin Azz People here 2...

never the less if The Org is around another 10yrs i'LL b here & if The NPGMC is around another 10yrs then i'LL b a Member there 2...


The Org needs 2 have better Moderation tho... this cuttin up P here & there ain't cool...

I just joined the NPGMC a couple weeks ago. The site is very cool and I am enjoying NEWS. I am glad I shelved out the $25. However, their forum is not near as fun as over here on the Org. This place makes me laugh on a regular basis.

I've gone to the NPG chat and I felt like I was in a twilight zone episode where everything is mind controlled and everyone speaks in unison with one voice.

It freaked me out.

It's not a point of it being too positive...it just seems too fake that there are no contradicting point of views.

This site tends to be alot more on the negative side. Somedays are more positive with others but that really has alot to do with who is posting on that day.

I enjoy coming here and reading other opinions from nations other than the USA.

As we are sheltered from alot of the chaos outside our doors, until I started coming here, I didn't know we were so unliked in the rest of the world.

I didn't know people didn't like Jehova's Witnesses so much.

I like that people are so committed to their beliefs and are willing to put up a fight.

That's what a chat forum should be.

this is the reason that most of all the old "ORGERs" are no longer here...A lot of Prince fans are tired of coming to a place that is almost always ragging on Prince. At NPGMC it is refreshing to hear some positive and not so positive thoughts, but in a different TONE...It's the stinky a** TONE here that distracts me. Has ALOT to do with the moderation here, or lack there of...With saying that, I'm out. I'd rather be around positivity every day, it makes me feel better...

ayb the fact that there r ppl here who rn't NPGMC members (like me) affects the tone. I mean, if u'vr forked out the dough, u kinda want to keep it +ve 2 make it worthwhile. The positive folks have left this ship. They are all over there at the club. It nice to not hear how Prince sucks or how this song or that album sucks. People are more respectful of prince and each other over there. The club members are the true believers. The people who are enjoying Prince right NOW and not just longing for 1980 or 1984. club.
