The Rainbow children vinyl

On a market
I just came across

The Rainbow children vinyl

A favourite of mine.
I've been through some personal difficulties lately
So I bought it.
It was only 45 euros
It's new, unopened.

How much do you think I could sell it for?
small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

If you bought the 1st pressing from 2001 you can sell it for 10 times what you paid. If you bought the 2020 reissue, it's worth what you paid for it.

That said, if it's a favorite of yours and you bought it as a comfort purchase, why sell it? Open it, play it, ENJOY it. Just sayin'... wink

if it's the original pressing U should definitely use it like it was intended 2. The sound is really nice & warm and better then the cd. Also the big booklet is a joy to see & read!

The original vinyl uses the same master as the CD.

Of course it does, but TRC is recorded like an old-style sould record with lots of acoustic instruments and sounds warmer on vinyl, at least on my equipement, them on cd.

And the original vinyl sounds better to my ears then the 2020 re-issue. But even the re-issue is worth it in my opinion because of the nice rainbow-style slipmat, which I use on my turntale all the time.

I'd guess you've bought the recent reissue, which is probably worth... a bit less than what you paid smile

Yes, I opened it. Couldn't resist. The records are gold yellow.
I'm surprised at how simple the production seems, minimalistic.
An excellent listening experience.
If its worth 10 times more I'll sell it and listen to my old cd.
I think it's worth no more than what I paid for it.
Thanks for your response.

It's awesome though, enjoy! I was really happy to finally have that one on vinyl as well.

"Gold yellow" sounds like it must be one of the bootleg copies that were circulating at some point before the 2020 reissue happened (not sure where they came from or whether gold yellow was even one of the colours, but a few seemed to be popping up online at some point)

Yeah, looks like it's only officially been released in black, clear & blue vinyl. There are pirated/unofficial copies in yellow, gold, green & white vinyl.
