truly amazing stuff all three albums. seen em twice and hopefully many more times... molly rankin's pre-alvvays solo EP is real nice twangy folk pop too, check that out if you haven't heard it.

I have a question, maybe someone here knows.

Matt Thorne's book was updated in 2023, with the subtitle "The man and his music", 656 pages, 9781572843264

But this july there will be released another (?) update, 9780571386123

What will be different about this july 2024 release? it will aparently also have 656 pages, so I guess it will be the same text.

I just bought Neal Karlen's book, "This Thing Called Life" for $2.99 on clearance last week.

I haven't started it yet.

It looks like the one you are seeing is a UK release of the 2023 update? I'm not sure, just guessing.

Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...

Def gonna read it next when I'm done w/ my current book. Just as a fiction break into something familiar. I mean, we've all heard and know the story of Purple Rain and how it was made, the 11th hour deal, the shooting of Minnetonka scene a day before it snowed like crazy, etc etc. But, maybe Light has something new to offer.

I always enjoyed his articles about Prince for Vibe. I remember the one where Prince was being a bit sarcastic and said, "Nelson. Nell's son. Who is Nell?"

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."
