“EVOLSIDOG”

I’m probably late to this, but I’d never heard this before until yesterday on X. It was a short clip from a 2021 Paisley Park ‘Under The Cherry Moon’ event. My god what a deliciously funky track!

Yeah, it's the vault track that I’m most eager to hear in full atm. The funk hairs on the back of my neck immediately stood to attention when I heard the snippet biggrin. Roll on Parade Super Deluxe.

It kills me that the previous estate supposedly had a Parade SDE in the can and ready for release, and now it's just collecting dust while the current estate sits around with their heads up their asses. Think of all the cool shit we could have had by now even beyond "Evolsidog" neutral

It's Prince & The Revolution's best work-era ever!

1985-1986

Release it all!!!!!!! PUHLEAZE.

(I even prefer it over PR era, tbh)

Gosh, and the combination with Eric Leeds on bariton sax on some songs is simply amazing.

Evolsidog is sooooo much promissing, it hurts.

Fully agree. Prince was so prolific at this time. I love the era, the style, the movie, the B-sides, the 12 ", the pics...

I WAS THERE TOO !!!! August 25th, 1986 ! OH MY GOD !!!!!

I also still have my tickets. biggrin

-

Those were the happiest Prince days of my life.... biggrin

(My frist concert ever was Rottermdam August 19, 1986.

Me and a late friend, both with an old Toyota drove up to Rotterdam from Ghent.

A week after this magical concert we head off again to Paris, for a second show.

Two days alater AGAIN, in Brussels, for another stunning show.

I did see that show three times!

WHAT GREAT TIMES.

It was all my holiday money spend on mini Prince tour. biggrin And I'll never ever regret that.

We played only Prince music on my car-cassette player ALLLLLLL the time while traveling. biggrin I had six cassettes in my car; Prince, 1999, PR, ARTWIAD, Parade and one Led Zeppelin (II).)

Thanks indeed 4 this beautiful story.

Too bad I didn't attend the New Morning gig (at the time, there was no internet. lol).

I think about that Revolution version of "And How" very often - feels like it's one of those classic, magic moments...
