Lady Gaga wants to do a Prince-inspired CD, what do you guys think?

I think for naysayers to say "bad idea" would be short-sighted. I'm no Gaga fan. But to think she, or any musician, isn't inspired in some part by Prince's legacy is obtuse. He's influenced people, and music at large.

I also believe that she's not going to try and copy Prince. She's not remaking 1999 or whatever. Maybe she uses a Linn, or older keyboards, or whatever. Prince was multi-faceted, so her inspired album will be the same - for her.

She'd actually do well to pull in Jam & Lewis to kinda guide her in some of the technical parts, and let her work things out as a songwriter on her own. Let them arrange, fine tune elements, do producer things. But let her write everything.

I'll put $100 on 95% of Prince fans reviewing the album as trash or "NOT what Prince would do," whenever it comes out.

Lady Gaga, the artist, should be able to record whatever she would like to record!

Yeah, I can see her doing that and pulling it off. Bring it!

I think she would be a good fit!

And let her do a duet cover version of 'Take Me With U' with Miley Cyrus.

I'm sure she is capable of making a greate funk/rock record, why the hell not.
