To be honest, I totally understand and agree with this sentiment, but I dislike the disdain toward those genuinely attracted to it. I reckon with each year after Prince's passing you get this feeling that some "superfans" are becoming the Pope, the ultimate authority on all things Prince-realted. But I'm sure there has to be really nice people too, and it has to feel special being there.

In short, it's indeed a lot of money for not-really-sure-what, and you'll be around a lot of ego-tripping folks, but as with everything else in life if you don't like it simply move on and seek something that makes you feel good.

Just like they had this exhibition in Amsterdam, but then one weekend or two days.

dunno about anyone else, but i wonder how long celebration will continue.

its good its still there but it seems an odd thing to keep going without prince here, just cos the live performances were such a big thing, and lets be real, most ppl came to see him, not cos the ppl he picked were there (though id have loved to have seen some of the artists he picked).

idk what attendance is like though, so maybe it makes enough money to ensure itll still be going for a while yet
