So Eye Records are back...

So Eye Records are back...

...seemingly unbothered by being sued by the estate.

Details of this new release entitled "Purple Underground: Volume 5 - Someone 2 Call" are on certain social media channels with copies already being sent out (a collection of four Purple Rain tour soundboard recordings).

Was there any update on the legal action being taken? Not that Eye Records seem to give any fucks.

What do think are they selling from a title like this - maybe 350 to 500? What do you think are The costs of a production like this? This „horrible People“ made 100000,- $ every day - i am sure! They are like drugdealers and we Need The drug!!! lol

Looking at what the Estate released they chose worse stuff to release; they burn their money by paying lawyer leaches.

As if that is a holy combination.

Would it even be sustainable?

So far Eye has been around longer than the Estate.

As long as The Estate releases crap like in the last 2 1/2 years, people will buy from scalpers like Eye Records.

The stuff we got from the Estate so far is horrbile as hell, not even worth to mention.

Someone 2 Call has been widely circulating for months from that eBay tape.

I heard this person was planning to drop uncirculating tracks/shows on Christmas day but now that Eye Records is back he cancelled it so they can't profit of it like they always do.

I don't know anything I just hear it from people who do know and know this person.

Since august and the supposed sues by the Estate...where is free stuff by the collectors...talking talking for bullshit...and now that EyesR is supposed to be back on the front stage...we have this broken virtual promesses that something is up to pop up ...but hey...EyesR is back so we can't...my ass better...i prefer things from EyesR thant the suck lies from the so called collectors who give stuff for free 4 the pleasure of all...in the best cases...theses suckers give mono things...so ...i want to be wrong and see how our purplre friends can surprise us...but big big doubts just around the corner!

Appears to be more soundcheck material. I'm jonesing for some studio stuff. Listening to the May 83 version of Possessed yesterday. That guitar at the end is just too funky! LOOOOVE to get that in better quality.

Anyway, this weekend I found out that the rumor was more then just a rumor, the Christmas drop would have been the full Rotterdam SOTT footage + screentest/soundcheck that wasn't used for the movie. sad
Maybe one day this will be released. For now hopefully Eye won't rehash and just release some cool new stuff.

We HAVE been gifted with some very nice goodies from the collectors, so I don't rule them out. The ATWIAD #1 one-off leak was one of my grails and very much appreciated!
