The morning after

Is it true that there was a song called "the morning after" included on the Lotus Flower download? I remember having donwloaded but I can't find that song on my copy.

Little over 2:00 minutes long. I LOVE the song! Kinda bummed it wasn't on the CD version.

Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Yep, it's true. CD version have Crimson & Clover instead. My playlist has the download version then Crimson at the end as a bonus track. I prefer the way the album flows with The Morning After where it is.

RIP sad

Don't really get why you'd thank someone for being rude and predictable.

.

Yes, it's an obvious question to any hardcore fans but so what if a person asks a Prince question on a Prince fan site.

.

It's not that serious, just random people chatting shit on the internet, yet it's like being in school or uni sometimes with the class geeks at the front scoffing at someone asking a question.

Hi Bart,

Thanks very much for your answer.

In that very moment, when I have posted my question I completly forgot about the PrinceVault.

I really hope I did not hurt your feelings nor wasted too much of your precious time.

But then let me ask you one question. Is it so hard for you to just - let's say not comment?

Anyway, I wish you a wonderful day and hopefully you wont get any nightmares because of my question.

may you live 2 see the yawn

Given how you often you take time out of your busy(?) day to make snarky replies about the existence PrinceVault and other reference resources, would it be so bloody hard for you to find the answer to these questions yourself and post them, instead of your snarky replies?

I think that might change a lot of perceptions about you!

Because Bart is like a performer doing a show. He's long past being rude and his predictibility makes it all the more funnier, like a running gag nod

Bart, what is your problem? Are you incapable of making small talk? ... People come here to relax, to get informed, to have a bit of a conversation amongst fans.

This isn't one of Churchill's war rooms, okay?

I think Crimson and Clover is a far better fit for the Lotus flower album. I do like The Morning After, I think it would been a good choice for the Planet earth album.

Or, one would ask is it so bloody hard to simply Google it? I'm not sure I've ever understood coming onto a Prince fan board and asking a question like this.

Huh? This is a Prince fan board, that's what it's here for, to ask questions. I guess we could google all answers and then there would be no reason to have a Prince fan board.....

I guess my issue is more with how the question is posed. "Is it true...?" I call bullshit on the OP. I think they knew it was true; they were just trying to make conversation. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily, but it's just a nonsensical question.

Let's say that sometimes, when it's a really simple question like the OP's here, it's really waaay simpler and faster to check Princevault, Wikipedia, Discogs, my site or any similar resource than to go ask on a board and wait for a reply. The OP could have gotten the answer to their question in less than 30 seconds, and I mean literally less than 30 seconds.

On the other hand it's no cause to jump at them, they don't harm anyone by asking, it's just understandable that some people would be baffled by their strategy to get information.

I know lots of people would disagree but no question is a dumb question. Besides I don't think the answer is necessarily obvious to established fans. The fact the OP is familiar with the record is proof enough they aren't a "casual" fan, nor a newbie. I suppose only "hardcore" fans would find the question stupid and that's the problem with fan sites. Members with less knowledge aren't always warmly welcomed or deemed worthy of being here with all their ignorance.

Damn, I miss the baffling ball you had to click on the LotusFlower site to get to Prince videos (never thought I would say that). BTW I have two rare framed Prince posters that I'm going to sell after next February to help pay for my son's wedding: one is W2A poster, the other is a light poster from "Planet Earth" from a local record store...

The problem is that any time a newbie strolls in here and expresses an interest in things by asking basic simple questions, there's mainly one resident dickhead here who constantly posts nothing but argumentative mean shit, covering bascially the last 15 years, that scares them off by being a rude asshole instead of even TRYING to be polite.

It's uneccesary, uncalled for, shitty, mean, rude, tired, played out and adds absolutely nothing to the board.

If I were a mod, Bart would've takne a walk a LONG time ago.

Am not one for banning people but he always gets away with it. It's like just because he has more knowledge about Prince than most he gets a by sad Also to be fair a lot of people are rude to newbies.

Indeed, it seems that we are coming to an age where asking for a fact, in any way , is more or less not done, people respond by "look it up, why are you wasting my time?". That does not seeem like a good starting point for conversation.
