Please. Censorship is usually referring to the government stopping you from free speech with legal or civil right repercussions. This is a Prince fansite. The moderaters can include what they want. Cheer up..you hold the distinction of being involved with a thread highly critical of Prince that was actually taken down. I have seen threads about associates which were much less scathing that were taken quicker than you could blink an eye.

Well, we've all got a genuine asshole, a highly imperfect person, within us. I think our own imperfections can be some of the hardest to recognize.

Critique away regarding imperfections and most especially, asshole behavior, of other posters. However, people fare better in communities if they live life by critiquing, first and foremost, their own inner assholes. It's hard work, and it requires summoning intelligence.

I'm pretty terrible at that, but I do try hard. If you offer criticism, if you care about the quality and intelligence of an internet community, please do try to put first things first. Please try hard.

Zoe says he didn't hit on her. A fan decides not to believe her out of an anger agenda over Prince's flawed preference for younger women. Mayte says they were chaste until she was 19, another fan decides not to believe her due to an anger agenda over Prince's flawed preference.... Mayte talks about being "forced to go on Oprah" (the same show Mayte's mother was also on) , so now the man is not just a my-way-or-the-highway type of guy but a horrible tyrant who put a gun to people's heads (I am being a bit hyperbolic, but you see my point). I guess we all cherry-pick what we want to believe to some extent but that still doesn't mean giving him the benefit of the doubt and respecting people accounts when they make sense is the wrong move. Prince thinks late teenagers and early 20 years old are attractive but holds out until they are of age (two-three years past being legally of age in his own state in some earlier cases) and now he is described as pedophilic and someone who never modified his habits to even the smallest extent. So, now if I defend him a little, I am sanctifying him and believing that sunshine shined out of his ass?--and being called a loonie who lives in a bubble. Is there no in between? Being human does not inherently mean being a monster at all times. Prince was called a gemini often, not because he was all bad and a walking ego with an evil agenda and an erect penis, but because he was half good. Wouldn't that apply to relationships as well (not just his spirituality and musical prowess)? If defending Prince against angry assumptions that contradict what witnesses have said makes me a person who sanctifies Prince, then bring it on "all hail, St. Prince" By the way, for being such a predator, there is little to no credible paper trail for lawsuits or accounts of harassment etc against him. (I guess we are supposed to immediately believe Sinead even after she admitted to bipolar disorder, changed her story six times, and was successfully sued for lying)> Even Bill Cosby with his family values image had court cases settled out of court for years. Even Michael Jackson was brought to court for unusual behavior with little kids. If these start showing up for Prince (worse than the stuff in Hahn's book) , then I will start thinking that every encounter he had with young women was predatory and every protege was the center of his lustful, horndog target. But until then, I will basically believe the women unless their accounts start to seem illogical or too one-sided. Sometimes, young women who admired his musical ability probably made him feel good about himself, weren't bringing baggage, fit his lifestyle, were easy on the eyes, weren't competing with him and were nice to him so he liked their company but he didn't always need to stick his dick in it. Many of them have said that it wasn't physical..why can't we believe it? Why can't folks not condescend to these women and demonize Prince at every turn. I looked back at a thread about Prince and Damaris Lewis going to a basketball game in March of 2016, almost everyone on this site had them screwing. That is insulting to both of them and Damaris's boyfriend at the time. He also went to his BET tribute with Shelby J? Was he screwing her too? No one assumed that--I noticed.. When he went to the tennis match with Damaris and Ida, was he hoping for a threesome? My rant is not directed at you..it is a rant that supports your belief, BTW.

I hate to break it to you, the only one that sounds like a "loonie" here is you. You're definetly not a 'fan', and I don't think anyone puts him on a pedestal. People just want to talk about him with accuracy. Have you ever been Prince? No. Have you ever been the women he hit on? No. So therefore you have no idea what you're talking about. Just because people want to talk about his MUSIC, which is what this site is for, and NOT his personal life, which is no one's business but the two people that were involved in the said relationship, does not mean people put him on a pedestal. You need a hobby or something woman, good god.
