Reminds me of the account Donna Summer used to have. She made a handful of tweets in 2010-ish on @TheDonnaSummer, then some years after her death, her family took it over to promote new stuff for a while. The last time I checked, the account had been deleted, and it was a shame for me to see her old personal account had gone, even if the historical value of her old tweets was minimal.

I wonder whether as a compromise, the Prince estate could take over @prince for full promotional stuff, but only after moving the old personal Prince tweets to a different archive account (like how Obama's old tweets were moved from @POTUS to @POTUS44).
