Thank you. I just listened to it. Could it sound slightly slower than the bootleg? Stunning though. Absolutely stunning.

ACtually I just so the press release and they claim it's from the original multitrack, so IDK. Maybe the hiss couldn't be cleaned. Maybe they're lying (wouldn't be the first time).

It's obvious at the beginning. However someone just pointed out to me that the strings can be heard on the official release while absent from the bootleg.

I thought they'd "stolen" the fan mix I did a couple of months ago for a second there!

Sounds SO much like the mix I did by merging the bootleg release with the Family outtake version and muting St Paul's vocals. Great to have the offical mix finally

Haha I hope not. I can't hear any "faults" in the mix that exist on mine, such as very slight ghosting of Paul's vocals in places. I don't think they'd be that sad to try and pass off a fan mix as an official multi-track...

I saw Prince's name trending and was happy.

And saw they released a new demo, so I was thrilled = instant click/watch!

And then I listened to the vocals and the music and I was stoked LOVE this version!

But while watching that footage.... those smiles...that face...

Yeah, I can only do a picture or 2 a day, then I avoid them.

Although it's nice, I hate to say it but always felt he made the right decision giving it to Sinead, she added so much more poignancy and emotional impact to it I felt. I think he was good at knowing when to give his stuff away to someone that could make it even better (think Chaka and her far superior version of I Feel 4 U).

However, after 2 years I would have hoped we'd have got something more than this to be released (especailly as many of us have heard a very similar version already on bootleg).
