Katrina's Paper Dolls (versions)

Not that it is one of my favourite Prince songs, but the information about it is interesting.

He wrote it apparently with Vanity in mind - Katrina is her middle name...

I don't know if there are other versions circulating, but i read this in Duane Tudahl's book :

"... Several versions are rumored to exist, including an experimental demo (14:08) consisting of piano and layers of voices from Cole Ynda (Lisa Coleman's siter), a condensed and embellished version of the demo (2:31) with Prince sharing vocals with Cole as well as a recording that features only Prince’s vocals (3:30)..."

- The latter is the one released on the PR Deluxe set.

But apparently there's another version re-recorded in 1986 :

"...The song was also reworked (4:23) in late 1986...."

Anyone anything on this ?

Not many info in this http://prince.org/msg/7/441233 but I checked the acknowledgement section of Duane Tudahl's great book and I think you might ask some of the people in that older topic.
