And to think, Prince didn't even like that song.

Did he not? I've never heard that before.

Me neither. I doubt he didn't like the song. This would seem like this was one of those 'spiritual sunday songs' he did.

there are some really sour people in here sarcasticly pointed to the money Spotify pays. Just be glad that young listeners are exposed to more of Prince's music even it was just for 1 day.

I didn;t like like JT's performance but the exposure for Prince was a nice touch even though it seemed more self serving to JT than to Prince.
JT was in Minneapolis and has a (bad) album to sell what better way to lure Prince's fans in than to pretend he's an Old School Prince fans and he is one of us? It backfired but still there are more than enough people who like him more for it then before and will buy his album becuase of it.

Seriously? I live in California. The radio station 99.9 Plays I Would Die 4 U all of the time. Then next radio station is 93.1 that plays I Would Die 4 U all of the time with extension of Baby I'm A Star from the movie Purple Rain. At the end of the song. U hear people clapping, howling and hooting! 3way

It's turned into a good thing for Prince and his legacy . Prince has come out of it better than Justin in many ways.

I have a hard time believing that he didn’t lik IWD4U because he performed it regularly on tour from 1983 onward, per PrinceVault, including on April 14, 2016 in Atlanta.

I don't read reviews but I did listen to it and thought it was horrible bad.
But there are a lot of millenial Prince fans here who like and grew up with dubious 'music'. Just look at how many are fans of Bruno Mars or Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift in here. So he'll probably sell some records to those people because of this show.

.

I read it in an article, somewhere, I can't remember.

"With love, honor, and respect for every living thing in the universe, separation ceases, and we all become one being, singing one song." - Prince Roger Nelson (1958-2016)
