What would be so wrong with that? It would clear things up. Do you even know what some people assume just because they beat around the bush? They assume murder, they assume suicide. Some go as far as to make people around him suspects.

Making a terminal illnes public wouldn't tarnish his legacy. The press assuming that he was just another drughead maybe does.

Your "maybe " could be a million things and cannot be quantified. We know what his legacy is right now yet we dont know what type of terminal illness he had. So the matter is settled.

We don't even know IF it was a terminal illness.

Yeah I know that, what I wanna say is that IF he was terminal ill, they would've said so. Because keeping it a secret makes no sense

He died of a drug overdose. Simple as, not cancer. Pain killers. Get your head round it

The FACT that so many here have come up with alternative scenarios and explanations for his death says one thing: there is so much shame and disgrace in being a drug addict that Prince's 'fans' cannot accept that he was an addict. Which is why is probably never outed himself, sought help, went to rehab, spoke out to help save others. Fan induced shame and silence were a factor in his death.

I accepted it the first time I heard it, Prince was a human being, he had flaws. But as you said it, some Fans just can't accept it

It wasn't terminal illness. It wasn't homicide. It was either accidental OD or intentional OD. That simple really.

I think most have agreed that he didn't die of a terminal illness (although he may have had an underlying illness that is unknown to us). The conspiracies on this forum border on the insane and no amount of science would change the hearts and minds of some .

Additionally, the point was that (TWD) was concerned about his legacy based on whether or not the family should release information if they knew he had a terminal illness in order to stem the tide of speculation. My counter to that was that rarely, if ever, would families of the rich and famous release such grave information whether medically confirmed or not. Luckily for him, he resided in Minn. and not in a state like Cali. I would wager to say that perhaps way more information would have fueled even more speculation than the apparent "accidental death".

Whitney, died of "X", but when you read the autopsy report /attached investigative reports , you could very well convince yourself that she died of at least 15 things. To include but not limited to;bad weave placement that suppressed blow flow, owing the Crips for intel on Ray-J, fornicating with the help, and of course, the dreaded word, suicide.

Yes I believe experts more than some Fans who speculate on his mental state.

Don't you think that somebody of his inner circle would've said something if they suspected a suicide??

Well, that's your prerogative. But I don't believe prince was terribly happy in his last few months. Bear in mind, opiate withdrawal coupled with bone pain, exacerbated from hyperalgesia, is no sunday picnic!

In actual fact, there's been very little speculation on his mental state. Most everything posted on here has been about turning loose ends and missing info into something it's not. For example. 'CCTV was switched off. So someone must have done that - not Prince!' ffs

Did I ever say that he was happy? No. But that doesn't mean he was suicidal. Not everybody who's unhappy is suicidal. Why would he seek help the next day if ends it anyways? And btw it was only Fentanyl, nothing mixed wich is mostly the case with suicides. And he didn't even know that the pills he took contained Fentanyl.

He didn't tell her a specific date.

Maybe she lied

“About three years ago he called … He said, ‘I think I’ve done everything I’ve come to do,'” Nelson, 56, says. “My dad and Prince always spoke in these types of riddles … He knew [he was going to die soon]. And he was preparing me. It’s very clear.

It seems to me that she made this up just because of his comment years ago. Nothing in what he told her states that he'd die soon.

You said it yourself .'"She made this up". And that's why you relying on the family releasing information (as if it would change his legacy) means absolutley nothing.

She's the closest one to him and you have no faith in her own statement or interpretation of why he died so soon.

1) We don't know if he sought help. There is strong 'hearsay' evidence someone else did. But did P himself consent? We don't know.

2) It wasn't only fentanyl. Other substances were allegedly found in the autopsy, and no pills found were fentanyl only. But we won't know for sure without the full report.

3) Did he know? Didn't he know? I'm not a mindreader. Just a critical thinker. Who's to say?

But open up what the exermainor said would be a fact! Get it now?

Yes, and her "interpretation on what she thought he meant , caused even more confusion. It solved nothing.

So by your narrative of the family releasing information in order to further stabilize his legacy (if he was in fact terminally ill) , it would gain nothing other than to fuel more speculation just like the statement made by her . It would never end, because the truth died with Prince.

C'mon, I think 99.9% of us are fans that's why we are all here.

Bod has a point, that has been discussed here on NUMEROUS occasions. In no way, shape or form did P want any of us to know anything. We all know this. P also was smart enough to know that if his fans found out that he was doing drugs, that it would hit the fan and like Bod said, Fan induced shame. He didn't want to put up with any of that. He already had seen what his fans on this very forum was saying about him.

What do you think would've happened if everyone found out that P went to rehab? Do you think that nothing would be said by his fans? See P was suppose to be living this 'clean' life. No drugs, no smoking, a vegetarian, he preached no drugs, he wouldn't allow them on his property, he wouldn't allow meat, alcohol, or any other thing that's bad.

Bod didn't say it was caused by his fans, P caused his own death.

To support the absence of terminal illness, I would suggest that Prince, having become the Man he was around 2015-2016, wouldn't have left his legacy and his assets up to chaos.
I try to look at the human aspect of things here.
This is the guy behind yeswecode, "Baltimore" and countless other conscious actions to ease the life of many. Why would he make it a mess, a tragedy for all of those who cared 4 him?

And 2 imply his FAMily would have anything 2 do with him gone makes me wanna barf.

He or she didn't say it was the Fans fault, he or she simply stated that the shame kept him from seeking help! Because some people would judge no matter what!
