Christina Aguilera was working with Prince during the "Back To Basics" album, but nothing ever materialized. This was what she said during an interview on MTV.

Rita Oral made the Most Beautiful Thing Remix with Prince, teased it for months, and then it sorta vanished. Now she is a TV game show host so I doubt we will ever see that.

Not exactly, she has a #1 US Dance hit song out right now

Wildcard is the last album i had from Terence Trend D'Arby, I think there's TTD on the cover and already mentioned it was Sananda Maitreya.

I couldn't handle his namechange the same as Prince's, so i lost track of him aftter that album. Is he still THAT great as an artist?

I've finally been able to put together Terence Trent D'Arby's Solar Return, which was the album he was recording that never materialised. He took tracks from it for the different Wild Card versions (there are three, plus a japanese version with 1 bonus track of one of those 3) and has slowly but surely released the rest afterwards. It's a great 2CD/2LP set, when all combined. I've used the track order I found on the org here, from way back. Although it seems that order might simply be alphabetical. smile

The production quality differences between those older tracks and the newer ones (from after Wild Card) are quite pronounced. It makes it harder for me to enjoy his newer work. Not holding it against him, he seems to have complete freedom, it's just not as enjoyable for me.

You can notice the marked difference between TTD/Sananda and Prince. Prince had Paisley Park (and semi-professional home studios before that) and had the work ethic that was all about the music. Other pursuits, while important, never took over from the music, wether carnal, spiritual or religious.

Sananda, on the other hand, seems to have focused much more on the spiritual/philosophical side of things. The product side (recording/mixing/mastering) of the music just never took on the same importance. Of course, that's just how it appears to me.

FYI, this is what the track list looks like in my iTunes, selfmade cover included.
