I do not think that will happen. Remember many of the false children claims were bogus and scam artist like Rodney have been kicked to the curb. Unfortuanalty, greedy lawyers have generated lawsuits when they could have been ethical and prevented that from happening.

I predict that the people who want to be heirs will have their suits tossed. So that will leave the Lonnie mess.

Since the UMG deal has been rescinded and another law firm has been brought in to resovle the mess. Shouldn't the estate be able to move forward?

Also, wasn't the "tribute concert" debacle not being pursued anymore?

Jobu has filed a lawsuit against the Estate, Charlie and Lonny.

Comerica will be able to investigate through the discovery process.

The Estate cannot move forward until the appeals are finished. That will take some time. If the girls lose in the Appellate Court I expect they will try to appeal to the Supreme Court of Minnesota.

The estate is allowed to deals to monitize . I am sure they got money for the Patone color and placing P's music in Empire and I am sure they are still looking for some company to license out the vault material to. Deals do not have to stop while they decide if they are going to sue L&K.

The concert may not be pursued because the promoter is already suing Kopplemen and the estate may not actually be out any money depending on how contracts were signed. From what little info we have K tried to use a phoney non-profit status of Paisley Park to get the recording acts on the cheap maybe to get some sort of bonus or commission for putting the show together but in the end Ivan Arioff came in and took over so who knows maybe the estate did not pay out any money for K+M services.

But the estate is monitizing because I am sure some payment was received from the Patrone deal and the estate can get fees from putting songs in Empire and Spike Lee has said he will have a lot of Prince music in his upcoming show on Netflix.

In addtion, Paisley Park is operating as a business and the Park is a part of the estate. I am sure after up keep and Graceland getting their share some monies must be going to the estate.

Judge Orders Investigation of Prince Estate's Voided Deal With Universal Music

Why does this fool keep referencing the WB deal as the problem when that deal is already a done deal which he has no control over?

Please see link for full article:

------------

Judge Orders Investigation of Prince Estate's Voided Deal With Universal Music

8/22/2017 by Hannah Karp

The judge overseeing the Prince estate appointed a second special administrator to investigate whether anyone should be held liable for the cancellation of its $31 million recorded-music deal with Universal Music Group.

The new administrator, Peter Gleekel and his law firm Larson King LLC, is tasked with evaluating whether the estate has a "reasonable basis" to pursue a claim against any entity or individual connected with the July rescission of the deal, and whether it's in the estate's best interest to pursue such a claim.

The deal was one of several licensing agreements negotiated by the estate's former entertainment advisors Charles Koppelman and L. Londell McMillan, and approved by the estate's first special administrator, Bremer Trust, along with the judge.

Police track bloody man through Williston after wreck

Municipal police followed a injured and bloodied man through downtown Williston before apprehending him after the man wrecked a sport utility vehicle and left the accident scene.

Williston police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle wreck on Burckhalter Street at about 4 p.m., March 12 where a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer had crashed through a fence, struck a tree and then partially ran underneath the porch of a house, according to police reports.

Arriving at the wreck site, police found nobody around or inside the vehicle. As police were surveying the scene, Jason Waller and his grandfather, Billy Waller, drove up to the scene.

The elder Waller told police that he had allowed a "Norman Goodman" or "Norman Goodwin" to test drive the Mountaineer because he was interested in buying it.

Waller allowed his grandson, Jason Waller, to ride with the man during the test drive. The younger Waller had minor injuries relating from the wreck, according to the police report.

Goodman or Goodwin was later identified as Norman Yates Carthens, 28, whose last known address was 3876 Dunbarton Road, Williston.

After the wreck, Carthens left the vehicle and began wandering downtown. Police began receiving reports from eyewitnesses and telephone calls about a badly bleeding man at the IGA grocery store, on Elko Street and at the Bi-Rite convenience store downtown.

"He left a trail of blood. It was like tracking a deer that was shot," said Williston Police Officer Joey Patsourakos.

Police caught up with Carthens at Matthews Street.

"The guy wandered around town with a bloody face," said Williston Police Chief Roger Kaney.

Carthens became hostile toward police and paramedics. Even after police arrested him, the man was combative and tried to smash out the window in the patrol car in which he was detained.

Police ended up using arm and leg restraints on Carthens, he said.

"We had to wrestle with him. We had to tie him up pretty good because he tried to break out a window," Kaney said.

Carthens was taken to Barnwell County Hospital to be treated there for a bad cut over his right eye and other cuts on his face. Carthens had to be medicated before being treated as he was still combative, according to police reports.

Carthens was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries; reckless driving; driving without a driver's license; disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Yes, sorry for the mispelling. Irving came in and helped with the concert so I guess if the estate does file a lawsuit over the concert it would depend on how much money the estate spent on the show or if they actually paid L&M for any work on the concert.

PRINCE'S SOUND ENGINEERMAKES 8-FIGURE OFFERFor Massive Music Vault

Prince's former sound engineer is claiming victory over the estate in their battle over song rights, at the same time the engineer made an 8-figure offer to own Prince's enormously valuable music vault.

George Boxill claims the late singer gave him the masters and the rights to a number of Prince's published songs, which Boxill also claims he co-wrote.

The songs have been the subject of prolonged litigation, but Boxill says the estate recently admitted in open court he did indeed have the right to release the tracks and profit from them. This is a dramatic turn, since the estate actually got an injunction that derailed Boxill from releasing all but one song. Boxill is aggressively trying to get the injunction overturned.

Now here's where it gets good. Sources connected to Boxill tell TMZ, Boxill and his music label, RMA, recently made a $10 million offer to the cash-strapped estate for the entire vault of unreleased music, but our sources say they were turned down flat.

There were reports Jay-Z offered $40 mil but we're told it was way less and was for the entire catalog. Universal actually made a $31 mil offer for the entire catalog but the deal fell apart.

We reached out to various lawyers for the estate ... so far, no word back.

This dude is a flaming nutball. The estate got an injunction but he has rights WTF. Even if he was a co-writer you would still need the estates permission before you could do anything with the music.

In the end what does it say at the copyright office.

Oh and RMA is suppose to care about artist rights and was started by two Christian artist.

but the website has now expired. They have 10 million to buy Prince's catalogue but not enough to keep their site up.

About RMA:

RMA (Rogue Music Alliance) is the brainchild of Gabriel Wilson and David Staley. As a production/marketing duo, Wilson and Staley have brought to market five Top 40 Billboard 200 Albums and several Billboard genre #1's (John Mark McMillan, Steffany Gretzinger, Lindy Conant, Bethel Music). Exhausted by many years of witnessing the old "record deal" model and its share-cropping ethos, Staley and Wilson formed RMA bent on creating a business model which provides "Equity for Artists."

RMA's vision is to provide label-like services in a model which doesn't acquire, lock up, and own the work of artists, forever keeping them from owning the rights to their creative property, but rather seeks to create literal partnerships with artists in the joint venture of their work. RMA is a model in which the record label never makes more money from the artist's work than the artist does. RMA operates as a hub of label-esque services partnering with artists to form their own micro label, seeking to inspire other artists to step outside the status quo.

I say sell it to Boxill with one restriction which is that he must *copy* all the tapes/files and leave the originals as is. Then he can do the remastering, compiling, mixing, etc. and release it. The Deliverance EP was great.

--They are not going to sell anything to him. The man is a crook. I honestly think he maybe mentally ill. I guess next Patrick Cousins should be working on the estate along with Rodney and all his Egytian relatives.

The estate are very greedy . With their court cases and stopping music on youtube etc. . They want a cut on everything. They were crying about a musical not being endorsed by them otherday. Or in otherwords they are after a cut on everything. . They act like they own everything. . Prince more or less said they would be squabbling like little girls and fighting for every penny. Let Boxhall sell this while they get on with the important job of trademarking colours , mugs and books. and flogging those tyka albums.
