I dont believe its circulating amongst us mere mortals. The earliest version I am aware of is a more-or-less instrumental take from a '83 rehearsal.

Prince Vault says it was re-recorded in 1989, but the sound of those synths at say 1.33 or 3.36, I have to wonder how much was re-recording and how much was updating - they sound straight out of 1982. Given tracks like We Can Funk, Joy In Repetition on the album - One might suggest it would be very similar to the original version. Although you could go the opposite way and say look at Tick, Tick Bang and how it differs.

.

If I had to guess, I'd say the bells and whistles were 1989/90 and the basics were the original, a la We Can Fuck - PURE speculation.

The original is from 1982/1983, further updated ca. 1986 (new lyrics, 'this is my world, too. . .', swirling chime synth segment during that break, sitar, Clare Fischer overdubs ultimately unused in the GB final mix, a rhythm guitar closing part replaced in '89 etc.), and overdubbed with some new synth parts (syncopated bass), an electric guitar closer, the bomb-drop 'Dear Dad' prologue, and some sampled Linn at the beginning to weave that into the original opening, in Summer 1989.

.

It's entirely possible that an even earlier sketch of this song exists, preceding the GB version's ca. 1982 origins. The song may not even have had concrete lyrics in its '82 incarnation.
