Marvel referencing Prince

Once again, the superheroes of Marvel Comics are referencing Prince, this time in new issues of Guardians Of The Galaxy & Spider-Man:

In Guardians, Star-Lord is fixing and unspooled cassette tape and is happy it wasn't a Prince tape that is damaged.

In Spider-Man, Spidey compares himself to Prince... in pockets only.

Awesome! The Guardians of the Galaxy movie also referenced Prince very slightly when John C Reilly called Chris Pratt star prince instead of Star-Lord. Even though her last name was Prince in the Wonder Woman TV show I feel like they also gave him a shout-out in the Wonder Woman movie as well.

There was another reference in a Spider-Man comic in the last few years that I posted as well. Can't find it with the custom search, too lazy to sift through all the threads about the movies...

Plus, about a decade back there was an issue of Spider-Man that was subtitled, "Sometimes It Snows In April", and, when the Black Panther married the X-Men's Storm, Prince was hired to play the wedding.

Yes, I just passed (or failed?) the comic-geek test. wink lol

Thank you!! This is the same one I posted, guess it was more recent than I thought, don't know why I couldn't find it with the search function, but, thanks to you it doesn't matter.

As for the Black Panther comic, Prince isn't shown, he's mentioned. Another character (She-Hulk maybe?) comments on how cool it is that T'Challa & Storm got Prince to play for their wedding. IIRC, the issue was written by a bigwig at BET that happened to be a Prince fan.

Maybe the Wonder Woman reference is but the Guardians of the Galaxy one is pretty spelled out.

Comics are not my thing, but I've heard good things about The Wicked + The Divine. The Inanna deity is based on Prince apparently.
