This episode is all foreplay.

(Not that I'm knocking foreplay. I love this podcast)

Pretty much. What I really want to hear is the review of disc 2.

Well I don't know about the other guys, but I had to get (most of) the negativity out before we got to disc two.. smile

Not that it doesn't have its own issues, but nothing like disc one.

Have to agree - Disc 1 is louder rather than clearer, there are still muddy sounding instruments.

.

Disc 3 has a lot of un necessary tracks, why do we need edit versions followed by extended. It could have easily have had Modernaire and Sex Shooter on it instead (Mainly as I have Ice Cream Castle on CD and not so worried about the Time).

.

Especially as most Disc 3 edits were also on 4ever or the Hits/Bsides and Ultimate.

.

I loved the packaging and concept though, and can't wait for review of Disc 2. I anticipate Captain calling "We can fuck" just a song and also no need to use the foul language in the title.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I do not always agree with Captin but I can't agree more on the poor sound of disc 1. I am repeating myself but it is so so bad. Lesser (but great) artists like Peter Gabriel have incredible sounding reissues. This is just terrible.

Having said that, I do like disc 3's sound. I have never heard the Love Theme sound this good.

Some of you involved in the podcast seem to confused about the definition of "a remaster".

Remasters are typically done using just the stereo downmixes of the multitracks. You can go "further back" than that and use the original multitrack reels as the sources, of course, but it's not a requirement for something to qualify as "a remaster".

That outro was excellent. Like a 100:1 ratio.
Or rather, 101:1.

C A N N O T W A I T to hear Peach and Black get busy with my favourite Prince song ever - the Hallway Speech version of Computer Blue. Getting all crossed-eyed even thinking about it!
