At the end of the normal version of IB,its obvious theres a fade out,so there must be an extended version.

If we start from the "fact" that every song ending with a fade have automatically an extended version..... well, I would like to listen to the Extended Versions of "Dirty Mind" and "When You Were Mine". Just to begin, obviously.

A lot of fadeouts are just a way for musicians to cleanly end a song when they don't know how to end it otherwise. It's a lazy trick. biggrin

So, no, I wouldn't expect all songs ending with a fadeout to go for much longer. Maybe 5-20 seconds in some cases?

Questlove collects reel tapes of Prince sessions. He has the Dirty Mind sessions. He has probably got a lot and heard a lot more than most listeners will hear or ever get to.

How in the world did he get those?? Did Prince give them to him or copies of his songs?

.

Oh for crying out loud, dude has got one copy of the Prince demos sent out in the mid-1970s: http://nypost.com/2014/03...rince-101/

.

In the introductory class, which wraps up on May 9, he even passed around an original reel-to-reel demo of the song “Baby” dating back to 1976.

.

That's all.

He's a fan and he's rich.

.

And he's a well-connected and famous musician.

Basically
And let's not forget he was one to sort of get The Family back together. He was the first musician I've seen who went in record to remember and rave about the Family record to others about how great that project was
"Climb in my fur."
